BURGLARY

1A man heard slapping noises at his back door, went to investigate, and found a man standing in his home in the 800 block of North 76th Street at 9:09 a.m. Jan. 7. The homeowner said the suspect took off "like a jack rabbit" after being seen. He was not caught.

2A house in the 2600 block of North 73rd Street was broken into and U.S. savings bonds and several other items worth $7,000 were stolen from it between 10 and 10:53 a.m. Jan. 7. The burglars entered the house via an unlocked balcony door.

3A home was broken into via an unlocked window in the 2700 block of North 75th Street at 7:14 p.m. Jan 8. It appeared that burglars tried pulling a TV through the window, but it was too big to fit. Nothing was taken.

4A home in the 4500 block of North Delco Avenue was broken into, but nothing was stolen from it between Midnight Jan. 10 and 3:01 Jan. 12. The basement window was smashed and there was a broken blade in a patio lock.

5Glass on an outside door was broken and several items worth $6,055, including electronics and gaming systems, were taken from a house in the 4100 block of Menomonee River Parkway between 7:33 a.m. Jan. 10 and 3:35 p.m. Jan. 11.

THEFT

6A snowblower valued at $250 was taken from the backyard of a house in the 300 block of North 116th Street between 7 p.m. Jan. 4 and 3 p.m. Jan. 6.

7Three suspects stole two video game consoles worth $120 from Best Buy, 2421 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:45 p.m. Jan. 6. They were recognized from a prior theft of $1,200 in consoles. When called out, they ran from Best Buy and escaped.

8A van's window was smashed but nothing was taken from it while it was at Anytime Fitness, 8901 W. North Ave., between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. Jan 6. Damage is estimated at $200.

9A car's window was smashed and a work bag containing medical supplies was taken from it at Mo's Irish Pub, 10842 W. Bluemound Road, between 11:15 p.m. Jan. 6 and 12:25 a.m. Jan. 7. Total loss is estimated at $275. The empty bag was later found in the parking lot of Jo Jos Martini Lounge, 418 North Mayfair Road.

10A 20-year-old Milwaukee man and an 18-year-old Milwaukee woman were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle after a license plate check revealed it as stolen from West Allis. The two were parked at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 1:52 p.m. Jan. 7. The man admitted to knowing the vehicle was stolen but denied stealing it. He has two prior cases of driving stolen vehicles. Police pulled the vehicle over after they found that the driver's window was broken out.

11A car's window was broken out and an iPod was taken from it while it was parked in the 4200 block of North 84th Street between 12:30 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 8. Total loss is estimated at $300.

12A car's passenger side window was broken and a purse containing credit cards was taken out of it at Starbucks, 151 N. Mayfair Road, between 11:30 and 11:50 a.m. Jan. 9. Total damage is estimated at $805.

13A pair of headphones worth $150 was taken from a desk in the 10000 block of Innovation Drive between 1 p.m. Jan. 9 and 6 a.m. Jan. 11.

14A rear window was smashed out of a car and a purse was taken from it at Cardinal Fitness, 2885 N. Mayfair Road, between 6:15 and 6:50 p.m. Jan. 9. Total damage is $1,295.

15A driver's side window was shattered and items were taken from a car at Wisconsin Athletic Club, 8700 Watertown Plank Road, between 5:30 and 6:17 a.m. Jan. 10. One item was a tackle bag, the other a briefcase containing an iPad. Total loss is $1,600.

16A passport and $30 in cash were taken from an unlocked car in the 9800 block of W. Argonne Drive between 10 p.m. Jan 10 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 11. Total loss is $75.

17A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking $611 of men's and boy's clothes from Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 11. She had two warrants from the Wauwatosa Police Department.

18A vehicle's window was smashed and a purse taken out of it at YMCA, 2420 N. 124th St., between 6:45 and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 12. Inside the purse were debit cards, checks, money and ID cards. Total loss is $400.

Police responded to three thefts of items valued at less than $100 this week.

DRUG POSSESSION

19Two Wauwatosa men, ages 30 and 40, were arrested for drug possession at the intersection of North 113th Street and West Gilbert Avenue at 12:42 a.m. Jan. 10. An anonymous source reported people with a flashlight out by the city dump. Police found prescription drugs, a crack pipe and drug straw on the men.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

20A 30-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after speeding 55 mph in a 25 mph zone and blowing a red light in the 6700 block of West North Avenue at 1:48 a.m. Jan. 8. He thought he was at Leff's Lucky Town. Blood draw results are pending.

21A 54-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, sixth offense, after stopping three times before coming to a red light at the intersection of West Bluemound Road and Glencoe Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Jan. 12. The man refused a Breathalyzer test and blood draw results are pending.

22A 24-year-old West Allis woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after driving on suspended registration and with a broken brake light at the intersection of West Bluemound Road and Pleasant View Street at 2:51 a.m. Jan. 13. Her BAC was 0.16.

VANDALISM

23A hole was broken in a vehicle's window at Anytime Fitness, 8901 W. North Ave., between 6:10 and 6:40 p.m. Jan. 11. Nothing was taken from the vehicle and damage is estimated at $250.

24A jeep's window was smashed but nothing taken from it in the 8900 block of West North Avenue between 6:25 and 6:40 p.m. Jan. 11. Damage is estimated at $250.

25A fence had eight pickets broken on it in the 1000 block of Kavanaugh Place between 8 p.m. Jan. 11 and 11 a.m. Jan. 12. Total damage is estimated at $20.

26An Aurora security vehicle had two windows and part of its light bar smashed out at Aurora Health Care, 1220 Dewey Ave., at 9:15 p.m. Jan 11. A witness said he saw two teenagers run from it with a crowbar. Damage is estimated at $600.

OTHER

27A 36-year-old West Allis woman is wanted for taking $303 from Papa Murphy's, 7630 W. Bluemound Road, at 10:43 p.m. Jan. 11. She was working there as an assistant manager and had keys to the store. The store owner found video evidence of her allegedly taking the money after Papa Murphy's closed.

28Employees of Radisson, 2303 N. Mayfair Road, called police to report two handguns were left in a room at 3:51 p.m. Jan. 12. The handguns were later identified as BB guns.

29A 17-year-old Wauwatosa boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after swearing at officers after the basketball game at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center Street, at 7:06 p.m. Jan. 12. He wouldn't leave when told to and caused a scene at the school.

A 45-year-old Wauwatosa woman reported receiving a sexually obscene phone call at 2:30 a.m. Jan. 5.
