BURGLARY

1A woman called police after she noticed a storm window open in her apartment in the 2500 block of North 62nd street. She believes the window was opened between 5 p.m. Jan. 21 and 3:15 p.m. Jan. 26. Nothing was taken.

THEFT

2Multiple items, including a purse and two digital cameras, were taken from a locked car at YMCA, 2420 N. 124th St., between 9 and 10:15 a.m. Jan. 22. Loss is estimated at $260.

3A wallet was stolen from a desk at Encompass Realty Group, 2222 N. Mayfair Road, between 1 and 5 p.m. Jan. 23. The wallet was later found missing $240 cash.

4A rental van worth $30,000 was stolen from the parking lot at Crowne Plaza, 10499 Innovation Drive, between 6:30 p.m. Jan. 23 and 7:42 a.m. Jan. 24.

5A car's window was smashed and electronics including two laptop computers were taken from it while at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 7:10 p.m. Jan. 23. Total loss is estimated at $1,825.

6A vehicle's front driver window was shattered and several bags taken from it while at Extended Stay, 11121 W. North Ave., at 7:16 p.m. Jan. 23. Total loss is estimated at $1400.

7A cellphone worth $700 was taken from a display stand at Best Buy Mobile in Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 7:38 p.m. Jan. 23.

8A 64-year-old New Berlin woman was arrested for taking $119 in jewelry and clothing from Macy's, 2500 N. Mayfair Road. The woman said she had enough money to pay for the items and didn't know what she was thinking.

9A laptop computer worth $500 was taken from Home Watch Care Givers, 2457 N. Mayfair Road, between 10 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. Jan. 25.

10Two Milwaukee women, ages 18 and 19, were arrested for taking five pairs of jeans worth $340 from Macy's, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 2:29 p.m. Jan. 25.

11Two 14-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested for taking $103 worth of clothes from Macy's, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:52 p.m. Jan. 25. The two were seen taking the items, running out of the store after setting off the alarm with a third boy, and returning. The two were caught trying to steal a hat.

12A pistol, holster and ammunition were taken from a car at Extended Stay Hotel, 11211 W. North Ave., between 5 p.m. Jan. 25 and 11 a.m. Jan. 26. Total loss is $905.

13A car's window was smashed and a wallet was stolen from it while at Anytime Fitness, 8901 W. North Ave., between 7 and 7:45 p.m. Jan. 25. Damage is estimated at $245.

14A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking a pair of sunglasses worth $295 from Solstice at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:27 p.m. Jan. 27.

15A gaming system worth $229 was taken from Best Buy, 2421 N. Mayfair Road, at 2:29 p.m. Jan. 27. The suspect escaped in a pink Chevrolet Impala.

Police responded to three thefts of items worth less than $100 this week.

ASSAULT

16A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for battery after she slammed a 20-year-old Greenfield woman's hand in a car door during a party in the 9200 block of Stickney Avenue at midnight Jan. 21. The Greenfield woman sustained two broken fingers.

DRUG POSSESSION

17A 28-year-old Wauwatosa woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital after allegedly overdosing on heroin at her home in the 9600 block of Harding Boulevard at 7:12 p.m. Jan. 21. Police found 0.012 grams of heroin, four needles and a spoon next to her.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

18A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, after he was caught speeding in the 12000 block of West North Avenue at 8:28 p.m. Jan. 20. His BAC was 0.065

19A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after rear-ending a vehicle in the 10800 block of West Capitol Drive at 11 a.m. Jan. 26. Blood test results are pending.

20A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after crossing the center line three times in the 2200 block of North Mayfair Road at 4:11 a.m. Jan. 27. Her BAC was 0.14.

ACCIDENTS

21A 53-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital for face injuries after the vehicle he was driving ran into a building in the 6700 block of West Bluemound Road at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 21. His BAC was 0.027.

VANDALISM

22A school guitar was broken in an equipment room at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., between 5 p.m. Jan. 14 and 8 a.m. Jan. 15. School officials believe a student may have gotten the key to the room.

23A car was dented by a group of males while at Dental Associates, 11711 W. Burleigh St., at 2:13 p.m. Jan. 22. Damage is estimated at $500. The car's owner was napping in it at the time.

OTHER

24A counterfeit $10 bill was passed at BMO Harris Bank, 7501 W. North Ave., at 10:33 a.m. Jan. 22. The bill was passed by a Wauwatosa officer, who got it from the change fund of the police department.

25A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after a witness claimed he tried entering her vehicle at Tosa Pediatrics, 8651 W. North Ave., at 4:06 p.m. Jan. 13.

26A 57-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after he was found pacing along Lutheran Home for the Aging, 7500 W. North Ave., at 2:36 a.m. Jan. 25. He had a scrape on his forehead and tried running before he was caught.

A 58-year-old woman reported that someone tried to open three bank accounts in her name between Jan. 19 and 21. The person tried using her past addresses and couldn't provide accurate information. No accounts were opened in her name.

Police responded to two domestic disturbances this week.
