Police Report: April 2

THEFT

1Two packages were taken from the front steps of a home in the 1000 block of North 123rd Street between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. March 18. After checking online, the homeowner discovered the packages had been delivered but were missing. Total loss is $52.

2A laptop computer and computer bag were taken from a vehicle in the 7400 block of Hennessey Avenue between 5 p.m. March 22 and 11 a.m. March 23.

3A 61-year-old Wauwatosa man took six to eight polo shirts worth $90 each from Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, at 1:27 p.m. March 24. He grabbed the shirts and ran out of the store into a waiting vehicle that drove off. Police called the vehicle's owner, who said the man was a crack addict she let stay at her home because he had nowhere to go. He left before police could arrest him.

4A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman reported her purse stolen while shopping at Target, 3900 N. 124th St., at 1:36 p.m. March 25. She left her purse in an aisle while searching for groceries. Security video shows a woman picked up the unguarded, $100 purse, which contained $400 in cash and cards, and walked out the store.

5A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possessing stolen items after she was found with $175 in merchandise from three stores at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 7:48 p.m. March 27.

6A male and female took 16 cans of baby formula from Pick 'n Save, 1717 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:38 p.m. March 28. The man pushed a cart filled with the formula, worth $272, to a waiting car. When confronted by employees, he said the receipt was in his car, got in and was driven away by the female.

7A police baton and a bottle of cologne were taken from an unlocked car in the 2400 block of North 67th Street between 9 p.m. March 28 and 8:20 a.m. March 29. Total loss is estimated at $120.

8A 17-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking $104 in clothing from Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, at 9:29 p.m. March 28. She said she was going sell the clothes.

9A GPS valued at $100 was taken from a car in the 2500 block of North 65th Street between 5:30 and 6 a.m. March 29.

10Three Milwaukee girls, ages 11, 12 and 12, were arrested for taking $256 worth of clothing from Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:48 p.m. March 29.

Police responded to three thefts of items valued at less than $100 this week.

DRUG POSSESSION

11A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for drug possession after he was found to have hidden marijuana in the battery case of a video camera he brought to Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., at 9:40 a.m. March 28. 12A 33-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drug possession after he was pulled over for driving without registration in the 7600 block of West North Avenue at 5:06 p.m. March 29. He had .58 grams of marijuana, a grinder, scale and a glass pipe on him.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

13A 51-year-old Waterford man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after driving erratically and blocking the alley at the Currie Park Auto Station, 10745 W. Capitol Drive, at 9:34 p.m. March 25. He said he was trying to find Waterford and was lost coming from New Berlin. His blood alcohol content was 0.27.

14A 25-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after driving on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of West State Street at 2 a.m. March 29. He said he drank five to six beers and was under the influence. Blood draw results are pending.

15A 32-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, after crossing halfway into oncoming traffic in the 2100 block of North 68th Street at 12:23 a.m. March 30. He refused a breath test and blood draw results are pending.

16A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, fourth offense, after he was pulled over for driving with suspended registration in the 6700 block of West State Street at 11:34 p.m. March 31. He had an open 12 pack of beer in the back seat with three bottles missing. His BAC was 0.14.

VANDALISM

17A vehicle's window was smashed in the 2300 block of North 65th Street between 8 p.m. March 28 and 11 a.m. March 29. Nothing was taken from the vehicle; damage is estimated at $200.

OTHER

18A stolen Jeep Cherokee was found in the 3000 block of North Mayfair Road at 9:03 a.m. March 25. The vehicle seemed disabled and when police arrived, they noticed two men running from the vehicle. The steering column was peeled and there were no keys in the ignition.

19An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man, a 17-year-old Wauwatosa boy, a 15-year-old Wauwatosa boy and a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy were arrested for prowling after a neighbor noticed them trying to break into an apartment building in the 2400 block of North 111th Street at 4:02 p.m. March 25. They said they were waiting for a ride and didn't live in the buildings. Nothing was stolen.

A woman turned in a .45 handgun to police at 6:33 p.m. March 25. She said she bought the gun for protection but wasn't in the right frame of mind to use it.

20A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for an outstanding warrant through Brown Deer after employees of Dave & Buster's, 2201 N. Mayfair Road, noticed someone had left his dog inside his car for two hours at 11:30 p.m. March 25. The dog belonged to his friend, who wasn't arrested.

21A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for soliciting without a permit after he was found trying to get people to sign up for magazine subscriptions in the 6400 block of Washington Boulevard at 4:41 p.m. March 27. The man said that his boss and company had a license but police found that neither did.

Police responded to two domestic disturbance calls.
