Aug. 5, 2014

Burglary

 

1Suspects stole a 40-inch LED TV during a home burglary in the 4000 block of North 97th Street between 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. July 27. 

 

2A home in the 10700 block of West Courtland Avenue was reportedly burglarized between 8:15 and 10 p.m. on July 27. Entry was made through the unlocked front door. 

 

3Personal property was stolen during a home burglary in the 10600 block of West Courtland Avenue between 3:30 and 11:20 p.m. July 27. 

 

Theft

 

4A man was arrested for stealing the rear license plate of a Subaru Imbreza Outback while parked in the 2000 block of North 60th Street between 12 a.m. July 25 and 3:30 p.m. July 26.

 

5A woman’s wallet was stolen while she was at Faiths Creation Christian Fellowship, 4400 N. Mayfair Road, at 2:38 p.m. July 27. Her credit and debit cards were later used fraudulently. 

 

6A man and woman were arrested for attempted retail theft at Zumiez inside Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:13 p.m. July 27. 

 

7Two bicycles were stolen from McKinley Elementary School, 2435 N. 89th St., between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. on July 27. 

 

8Two men were arrested for stealing wooden fencing from the rear of Home Depot, 4100 N. 124th St., at 12:16 a.m. July 28. 

 

9Two men attempted to steal merchandise from Walgreens, 10800 W. Capitol Drive, at 12:15 p.m. July 28. Employees were able to retrieve the merchandise before suspects fled in a tan Pontiac Grand Am. 

 

10A suspect attempted to steal a woman’s 1998 Dodge Ram while it was parked at 6100 West State Street between 7 p.m. July 27 and 6:20 p.m. July 28. 

 

11A woman’s apartment storage space was reportedly burglarized between 1 p.m. July 21 and 7:40 p.m. July 28 in the 1400 block of Martha Washington Drive. A mountain bike was stolen. 

 

12Property was stolen from an unlocked 2004 Toyota minivan while it was parked in the 2300 block of North 119th Street between 9 p.m. July 28 and 3 a.m. July 29. 

 

13Property was stolen from a 2006 Toyota minivan while it was parked in the 2300 block of North 119th Street between 9:30 p.m. July 28 and 3 a.m. July 29. 

 

14Suspects stole $1,350-worth of personal property from a blue 2005 Chrysler Sebring while it was parked in the 1000 block of North 68th Street between 12 and 3:53 a.m. July 29. 

 

15A woman was arrested for retail theft at Saks Off 5th, 11500 W. Burleigh St., at 6 p.m. July 29. 

 

16A blue 2002 Chrysler Town and Country was stolen from the parking lot of Luther Manor, 4545 N. 92nd St., between 10:25 p.m. July 29 and 7:30 a.m. July 30. The vehicle had been left unlocked there overnight, but was later recovered. Police also recovered a stolen vehicle that was left in the parking lot of Luther Manor at 8 a.m. July 30. 

 

17Money was stolen from a man’s car while it was parked in the 10400 block of West Hillside Avenue between 5 p.m. July 29 and 8:45 a.m. July 30. 

 

18A woman’s black iPhone 5 was stolen from her office at 1233 North Mayfair Road between 3 and 3:30 p.m. July 29. 

 

19A man’s iPod, sunglasses and $5 in loose change was stolen from his car while it was parked in the 4100 block of North 97th Street between 6 p.m. July 29 and 6 a.m. July 30. 

 

20A man’s black leather wallet was stolen from his car while it was parked in the 4200 block of North 94th Street between 8:30 p.m. July 29 and 3:30 p.m. July 30. His cards were later used fraudulently.

 

21A woman’s driver’s license and debit card were stolen from her unlocked car while it was parked in the 4100 block of North 96th Street between 5:45 p.m. July 29 and 5:50 a.m. July 30. 

 

22A woman was arrested for stealing merchandise from Pick ’n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 12:11 p.m. July 30. 

 

23A boy’s mountain bike was stolen from the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave., between 4:30 and 4:50 p.m. July 31. The bike had not been locked.

 

24A woman’s 2004 Chrysler Sebring was stolen from the employee parking lot of Luther Manor, 4545 N. 92nd Street, between 10:30 a.m. and 4:55 p.m. July 31. 

 

25A suspect attempted to steal a woman’s 2005 Dodge Stratus from the parking lot of 9440 W. Congress St., between 1 and 5 p.m. July 31. 

 

26Two suspects stole $1,190 worth of merchandise from Saks Off 5th, 11500 W. Burleigh St., at 8:11 p.m. July 30. They fled the store. 

 

27A juvenile was arrested for retail theft at Claire’s inside Mayfair mall, 2500 North Mayfair Road, at 10:37 a.m. August 2. 

 

28A man was arrested for retail theft valued at $480 and an open warrant through the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Sheriff’s office at Target, 3900 North 124th Street, at 6:10 p.m. August 2. 

 

Drug offenses

 

29Two men were arrested for marijuana possession and loitering in the 4700 block of North 108th Street at 1 a.m. July 29.

 

30A woman was arrested for drug possession in the 2200 block of North 118th Street at 1:40 p.m. 

 

Police recovered a clear plastic bag containing 0.61 grams of marijuana from the floor of the young men’s department in Macy’s, 2500 North Mayfair Road, at 7:39 p.m. August 1.

 

 

 

 

Drunken driving

 

A man was arrested for drunken driving in the 800 block of Harwood Avenue at 3:16 a.m. July 27. His blood alcohol content was 0.19. 

 

A man was arrested for drunken driving in the 6800 block of West Bluemound Road at 3:39 a.m. August 2.

 

Disorderly conduct

 

A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after breaking a glass door with his fist at George Webb, 7410 W. State St., at 1:20 a.m. July 27. He caused $300 worth of damage.

 

A man was arrested for disorderly conduct in a McDonald’s parking lot, 12324 North Ave., at 9:44 p.m. August 1. 

 

Other

 

A man was found dead in his car from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Bowlero’s parking lot, 11737 W. Burleigh St., between 2:25 and 6:25 p.m. July 31.

 

A man was arrested for trespassing at Briggs & Stratton, 3300 N. 124th St., at about 1:50 p.m. August 1. 

 

Seven .45 caliber bullet casings were found by police in the 4500 and 4600 block of North 119th Street after gunshots were reportedly heard by a resident at 2:42 a.m. August 2. The suspected vehicle was described as a brown, 1980s Chevrolet. 

 

Police made two arrests this week related to domestic violence.
