Oberhofer joins Ameriprise Financial from Investors Advisory Group, Pewaukee. As a financial adviser, she provides financial advice that is built on a solid understanding of client needs and expectations, and is provided in one-on-one relationships with her clients.

Innovation Station Child Care adds 4K teacher

New Berlin — Innovation Station Child Care, which has locations in New Berlin and Brookfield, has added Carolyn Monday as a 4-year old kindergarten teacher. Carolyn has earned her bachelors degree in education and a masters in special education specializing in learning disabilities and emotional/behavior disabilities. She joined the staff at Innovation Station in February 2013 while she finished her masters degree.

Innovation Station is currently enrolling children for the coming school year and is located in New Berlin at 2050 South Calhoun Road.

Radiologist awarded research scholar grant

Wauwatosa — Sarah Beth White, M.D., assistant professor of radiology and surgical oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, has been awarded a two-year, $150,000 Research Scholar Grant by the Radiological Society of North America Research and Education Foundation to study metastatic colorectal cancer.

In this project, White will study a new method to treat colorectal cancer that metastasized to the liver using magnetically triggered nanoparticles of a platinum-based chemotherapy called Oxaliplatin.

This year the RSNA R&E Foundation has awarded 94 grants totaling $3.6 million. White's grant is made possible by the support of Bracco Diagnostics Inc.

Local volunteer serving as stage manager at Sunset

Mikhela Rosko is serving as a stage manager for "The Mousetrap," by Agatha Christie, at Sunset Playhouse from Thursday, Sept. 11 through Sunday, Sept. 28th. Sunset Playhouse is located at 800 Elm Grove Road, Elm Grove.
