A car stolen Thursday morning was used that evening in a retail theft at a Wauwatosa grocery store.
The 1988 Oldsmobile was taken about 11:30 a.m., while the owner was at a doctor's appointment in Aurora Health Center, 4025 N. 92nd St., according to a Wauwatosa Police Department report.
The car was next seen about 6 p.m. as the getaway vehicle for a liquor theft at Pick 'n Save on State Street. A man took $165 in liquor and jumped into the passenger seat of the waiting vehicle.
Milwaukee police recovered the vehicle, which had steering column damage and missing license plates, that night at 45th and Burleigh streets.
