A woman was the victim of an attempted purse snatching as she loaded groceries in her vehicle at Sendik's.
According to the Wauwatosa police report:
The shopper was approached by another woman in the store parking lot, 8616 W. North Ave., at 7:24 a.m. Dec. 1. Initially, she did not think anything was wrong, and believed the other woman was going to ask her a question.
But the woman twice said, "Give me your purse," then grabbed it and tried to pull it away from the shopper.
A driver pulling into the parking lot beeped her horn and scared the purse snatcher away.
