Tree removal along 90th Street part of sewer work

Issue: A reader wants to know why the trees along 90th Street north of the Parkway were removed.

Status: Ken Walbrant, superintendent of parks and forestry, said the trees were removed to accommodate a storm sewer project that involves putting in a 10-foot sewer. He said that there are plans to replace the trees after the work is done.
