A suspect led police on a less-than-dangerous pursuit through the 100 block of North 92nd Street at 2:36 a.m. Saturday.

According to the Wauwatosa police report:

After trying to pull over a car driving 10 mph over the speed limit with expired registration, the officer was led on a pursuit that reached speeds of 30 mph and involved full stops at stop signs.

The suspect calmly drove with an officer flashing his lights and blaring his siren. When the officer called in and said he was in a pursuit due to expired registration, dispatch advised him to cut off the chase.

Officers came to the vehicle owner's house later and towed the suspected fleeing vehicle. The owner's mother was at the house and refused to answer any questions or let police into her home.

The owner came to the police station the next day and asked where they had taken her car. She was given a ticket as well as information on retrieving her car.
