Christ King

The Home and School Association will host an Italian Night dinner in North Hall from 5:30 to 8 p.m. March 15. Menu items include meatless mostaccioli from Bunzel's, garlic bread and salad. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and children ages 5 to12 or $3 for children 4 and younger.

Eisenhower Elementary

The Children's Clothing & Toy Resale will feature clothing, furniture, books and sports gear for sale from 6 to 9 p.m. March 8. A percentage of sales will benefit PTA-sponsored events and activities.

Jefferson Elementary

There will be a Jefferson PTA meeting in the library at 7 p.m. March 14.

Lincoln Elementary

Junior kindergartners will take a field trip to the Wauwatosa Public Library on March 8.

Longfellow Middle School

The Activity Center at Longfellow will be open to sixth-graders at 7 p.m. March 8.

St. Jude The Apostle

Winning middle school participants took part in the regional National History Day competition held Feb. 22 and Feb. 23 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Of the 42 who represented St. Jude, 11 students advanced to the state competition that will be held in Madison on May 4.

Underwood Elementary

Aspiring dancers, musicians and comedians will be among the performers at the Underwood Talent Show from 1:30 to 7 p.m. March 8.

Wauwatosa Catholic

The first "Shamrockin' Eve" will be held in the St. Pius X gym from 6 to 11 p.m. March 16. Bagpipes, Irish dancing, games and food will be part of the evening. Admission is $15 per person or $25 per couple. For information, call the school office (414) 258-9977.

Wauwatosa East High

The marching band will perform in the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Milwaukee on March 9.

Wauwatosa Montessori

Enrollment lottery winners will be notified by mail no later than March 8. Lottery winners must confirm acceptance by 4:30 p.m. March 28.

Wauwatosa West High

The Wauwatosa Kiwanis Club and East and West High School Key Clubs hosted the Wauwatosa Kiwanis Scholarship Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3.

Whitman Middle

Wisconsin Safe Routes to School presented information on how to start a SRTS program March 6. Each school that sent a representative to the meeting received a crossing guard kit that includes inroad pedestrian signs and an LED-lit stop paddle. For information, call (414) 841-3576.

Wilson Elementary

Throughout March, Tim Decker, artist, animator and professor of fine arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will work with each grade level to create a puppet, and help with group work for set design. Each grade level will focus on illustrating an insect poem. Decker has worked with Disney and was an animator for the popular "The Simpsons" television series.
