Christ King

There will be no classes for fall break Oct. 28.

Eisenhower Elementary

The school will hold the Eisenhower Parade at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 25.

Jefferson Elementary

The Jefferson School Fun Run will be held during the school day Oct. 19. It is the only fundraiser for the school this year.

Roosevelt Elementary

Second-graders will take a field trip to the Kneeland-Walker House from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 18. Another group went to the Kneeland-Walker House on Oct. 16.

St. Jude Lutheran

Volleyball season is well under way, and students are enjoying the friendly competitiveness of area tournaments. The fifth-grade girls team recently took first place in the St. Margaret Mary tournament, while both the A and B eighth-grade girls teams have been invited to participate in the Seaton Tournament.

St. Johns Lutheran

Classes have begun using field trips as special learning activities. Four-year-old kindergarten went to a pumpkin farm. Grades one and three visited the Wauwatosa Public Library. Grade two went 'pondering' at Scout Lake. Students in grade four will travel to Old World Wisconsin. The fifth-graders will be going on a scavenger hunt around Wauwatosa, and fifth- through eighth-graders will walk to Wisconsin Lutheran High School to see that school's drama production.

Underwood Elementary

Junior kindergartners will take a field trip to Swan's Pumpkin Farm in Franksville from 11:20 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 18. The students will learn about farm animals, tour the farm on a tractor-drawn hayride and visit the pumpkin patch.

Washington Elementary

The Washington Retake and Class Photo Day will take place Oct. 18.

Wauwatosa Catholic

In celebration of 'The Month of The Rosary,' Wauwatosa Catholic students in grades kindergarten through eight will pray a 'Living Rosary' at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 in St. Bernard Church. Community members are welcome to attend.

Wauwatosa East High

Private School Shadow Day will take place Oct. 18. Wauwatosa residents with children in eighth grade at a parochial school will have an opportunity to shadow East students to learn about the school firsthand.

Wauwatosa West High

Wauwatosa West had a choir concert on Oct. 17.

Whitman Middle

Students in the Kids Who Care Service Club are sponsoring their annual Bowl-A-Thon from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m. Oct. 19. A portion of registration fees will be donated to a Tosa Cares family.

Wilson Elementary

Junior kindergartners will participate in Harvest Time at Basse's Taste of Country Farm Market in Colgate to supplement in-class science curriculum from 8:30 to 10:55 Oct. 18. The students will learn how animals, trees and plants adapt for winter and also visit the pumpkin patch.
