BURGLARY

1A woman returned home to find clothing, jewelry and a video game system had been taken from her home at the 6100 block of West State Street at 10:25 p.m. Aug. 10. Loss is estimated at $1,795.

THEFT

2A woman reported her wallet, valued at $180, was stolen at Jo Jo's Martini Bar, 418 N. Mayfair Road, May 22. About $300 was charged to one of her credit cards.

3A semiautomatic pistol was taken from a man's car in the 2400 block of North 111th Street on Aug. 2. The man believed he left the car unlocked and that the gun was loaded. Loss is estimated at $600.

4An amplifier and two subwoofers were stolen in the 7500 block of West Center Street at 9:20 p.m. Aug. 4. Loss is valued at $350. Neighbors called the police when they saw a man climb into the victim's trunk. He was in so far that his feet were dangling off the ground.

5A man took a boom box from Brookstone, 2501 N. Mayfair Road, at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 5. Loss is estimated at $100.

6A 25-year-old woman was arrested for stealing $543 worth of items from Macy's at Mayfair at 5:42 p.m. Aug. 5. She fought with security, giving a guard scratches on her hands and ankles. The woman had already been banned from the store and therefore also was cited for trespassing.

7 Two bikes were taken from outside Boston Store at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, Aug. 6. Loss is estimated at $170.

8A 46-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 45-year-old Glendale woman were arrested for retail theft at Macy's on Aug. 6. The women had $1,743 worth of merchandise in two shopping carts. One of the women was recognized from a prior theft.

9A copper downspout was taken from a property in the 8200 block of Brookside Place at 2:44 a.m. Aug. 7. The homeowner heard a rattling sound and saw a man standing in his yard. The homeowner ran outside to confront the man, who then fled in his vehicle. This was the second downspout taken from the homeowner in a month.

10Electronic items valued at $3,070 were taken from a vehicle in the 1200 block of North 62nd Street at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7.

11 Jewelry valued at $200 was taken from a woman staying at Super 8 Motel, 115 N. Mayfair Road, at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 8.

12A laptop, wallet and checkbook were stolen at Extended Stay Hotel, 11121 W. North Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8. The owner was in the shower when the theft occurred; his credit card was used three times within an hour. Loss is estimated at $422.

13A GPS valued at $300 was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2400 block of North 70th Street at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8.

14Two bicycles were taken from a backyard in the 2600 block of North 67th Street at 8 p.m. Aug. 8. Loss is estimated at $260.

15A wallet valued at $220 was stolen at Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 10.

16A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft for taking $429 worth of jeans from Boston Store on Aug. 10. She said she wanted to steal the clothes so she could "resell them to buy her baby's diapers."

ASSAULT

17A 78-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for battery in the 10000 block of West Wisconsin Avenue at 1:11 p.m. Aug. 11. He got into a dispute with his neighbor about the lot line. They were taunting each other when one man punched the other in the head.

DRUG POSSESSION

18A 22-year-old Wauwatosa woman was arrested for drug possession in the 2600 block of Wauwatosa Avenue at 11:14 p.m. Aug. 3. Police pulled over her vehicle due to reports of a suspicious subject with a gun in the neighborhood. The woman was not the person with the gun, but did have 1.79 grams of marijuana on her.

19A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for defrauding a restaurant and marijuana possession after fleeing Bluemound Gardens, 11703 W. Bluemound Road, at 6:04 p.m. Aug. 6. The man was believed to be a Days Inn customer who had defrauded the restaurant twice previously. The man was found in the Days Inn motel with 1.88 grams of marijuana on him. The food he stole was valued at $13.

20 Police responded to a two-car accident at Glenview and Portland avenues at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 11. An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man failed to look both ways before driving through the intersection. The front seat passenger, an 18-year-old man, was taken to Froedtert Hospital because he had a headache. The second driver was a 40-year-old Milwaukee man. A witness overheard the teens saying they had to hide drugs. Two marijuana pipes, a grinder and 0.4 grams of marijuana were found in the car. The first driver was arrested for marijuana possession. The passenger had a pipe and grinder on him as well.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

21A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at Mayfair Road and North Avenue at 6:24 p.m. Aug. 2. Police found an empty beer bottle and three small, empty bottles of vodka in his car. The man said that it took him two hours to drive from West Allis to Wauwatosa. His blood-alcohol content was 0.05.

22A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 2200 block of North 60th Street at 9:32 p.m. Aug. 3. He had been pulled over for driving without headlights.

23A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 9200 block of Harding Boulevard at 9:22 p.m. Aug. 6. He was driving without headlights and crossed the centerline. He refused to give a breath sample.

24A 21-year-old Fort Atkinson man was arrested for drunken driving at 124th and Burleigh streets at 2:04 a.m. Aug. 9.

ACCIDENTS

25An 80-year-old woman rear-ended another vehicle at 68th Street and North Avenue at 11:20 a.m. Aug. 8. She was cited for inattentive driving. The other driver, a 60-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.

26A woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of head and neck pain after a collision at 76th Street and Bluemound Road at 2:56 p.m. Aug. 12. She was cited for not wearing a seat belt. A 19-year-old man was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

VANDALISM

27A vehicle's window was broken at Dave & Buster's, 2201 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:58 p.m. Aug. 10. Damage is estimated at $400.

OTHER

28A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct and violating probation at St. Joseph Urgent Care, 201 N. Mayfair Road, at 9:21 p.m. Aug. 7. The man was refused pain medication; he responded that he could either get the medication or "sit in the lobby with a gun."

29A shopper reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill in change from Barnes and Noble at Mayfair at 7:56 p.m. Aug. 9.

30A man was seen masturbating at Hoyt Park, 1800 N. Swan Boulevard, at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 18.
