BURGLARY

1A garage opener, set of keys and 10 CDs, valued at $315, were taken from two unlocked vehicles in a garage in the 600 block of North 76th Street between 11 p.m. July 29 and 6:30 a.m. July 30.

2A bicycle valued at $300 was taken from an unlocked garage in the 2400 block of North 72nd Street between 7 a.m. July 30 and 11 a.m. July 31.

3A video game system valued at $350 was taken from a locked residence in the 1900 block of Church Street between 7:15 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. July 30. There were no signs of forced entry.

4A bicycle valued at $150 was taken from an unlocked garage in the 2500 block of North 63rd Street between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 2:30 a.m. Aug. 2.

5A cellphone, digital camera, wallet, video game system, laptop computer, MP3 player and a silver 1993 Toyota Corolla, valued at $2,160, were taken from a home in the 1200 block of North 68th Street between midnight and 9:22 a.m. Aug. 2. A resident had fallen asleep on the couch and awoke to find the patio door open. A pile of her clothing and a purse were left in the yard. Sixty calls had been made using her phone.

6A TV and a loaded revolver, valued at $550, were taken from a home in the 7200 block of West Center Street between 11 p.m. Aug. 2 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 3. There was no sign of forced entry.

7Cigarettes were taken from an unlocked vehicle in and open garage in the 2400 block of North 67th Street between 10 p.m. Aug. 3 and 9:07 a.m. Aug. 4.

THEFT

8Audio equipment valued at $2,800 was taken from the press box of Wisconsin Lutheran's Raabe Stadium, 10200 Watertown Plank Road, between July 23 and 28.

9A stereo and class ring, valued at $500, were taken from a vehicle in the 4100 block of North 96th Street between 11 a.m. July 29 and 1:30 p.m. July 30. A door had been forced open.

10A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for retail theft after she took clothing valued at $471 from The Buckle, Justice and Aeropostale stores at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 2:58 p.m. July 30. She was carrying a foil-lined purse and a screwdriver, which she said she'd successfully used to shoplift on three prior occasions.

11Three copper gutters valued at $2,500 were taken from a home in the 8200 block of Brookside Place at 2:57 a.m. July 31. The homeowner heard crashing noises and looked outside to see a man removing gutters. The homeowner yelled out his window and the suspect took off. A fourth gutter piece and a light power box were damaged.

12Two Milwaukee women, ages 18 and 20, were arrested for retail theft after they took clothing valued at $479 from Macy's at Mayfair at 4:45 p.m. July 31. They said they had dates and needed to look good. The younger woman was also arrested for violating probation.

A Wauwatosa woman's identification was used to open a Dish TV account that was now overdue $213 and sent to collections before 7:16 p.m. July 31. It had been opened by a Houston woman in 2007. She learned of the identity theft during a credit check required to buy a home.

13A black 2008 Toyota Highlander valued at $11,000 was taken from the 2200 block of North 63rd Street between 6 and 8:15 a.m. Aug. 1.

14A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for retail theft and obstruction after he took items valued at $220 from Boston Store at Mayfair at 3:39 p.m. Aug. 1. He was wearing two pairs of pants and had sunglasses and earbuds with the tags still on them in his backpack. Security staff got suspicious when he entered wearing a sweat shirt with the hood up when it was 90-plus degrees outside. He gave officers fake identifying information.

15An tablet computer valued at $400 was taken from City Market, 8700 Watertown Plank Road, after the owner left it at his table from 11:30 a.m. to noon Aug. 2.

16Power tools valued at $2,559 were taken from a construction site in the 12000 block of West Feerick Street between 12:30 and 1 p.m. Aug. 2.

17A GPS, wallet and loose change, valued at $303, were taken from two unlocked vehicles in the 2500 block of North 64th Street between 9 p.m. Aug. 2 and 7:49 a.m. Aug. 3.

18A gym bag and MP3 player, valued at $700, were taken from a vehicle at Wisconsin Athletic Club, 8700 Watertown Plank Road, between 7:30 and 11:13 a.m. Aug. 3.

19Two men opened boxes of video game controllers and put the controllers valued at $200 down their pants before fleeing Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, at 10:18 a.m. Aug. 3.

20A laptop computer valued at $1,200 was taken from a vehicle in the 2400 block of North 67th Street between 7 p.m. Aug. 3 and 7:21 a.m. Aug. 4. A window had been broken.

21A man pocketed sunglasses valued at $345 from Solstice at Mayfair at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 4.

22A wallet valued at $140 was taken from a purse in a shopping cart at Walmart Neighborhood Market, 3850 N. 124th St., at 1:20 p.m. Aug. 4.

23Two 17-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested for retail theft after they took clothing valued at $304 from Macy's at 6:28 p.m. Aug. 4. One of the boys had been listed as a runaway from Milwaukee.

Wauwatosa Police Department responded to seven thefts of items valued at less than $100 in the past week.

DRUG POSSESSION

24A 47-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for trying to obtain a controlled substance by fraud and drug possession at the pharmacy in Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 1:24 p.m. Aug. 2. A prescription for Hydrocodone had been called in July 24 supposedly by a medical assistant for a Froedtert doctor. However, neither medical professional worked for the health system. A woman inquired whether it was ready to be picked up Aug. 1. When she showed up the next day to pick it up, she got impatient and left. She was stopped with an unlabeled bottle of Hydrocodone in her possession.

25An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for cocaine and drug paraphernalia possession after his vehicle was seen driving at less than 5 mph and coming to a quick stop in the 500 block of 106th Street at 1:34 a.m. Aug. 5. Two people ran from the yard and got into the car, which sped away. He had a marijuana pipe and pen that was converted into a tube to sniff cocaine, as well as 0.13 grams of the drug. The man had a warrant for drug paraphernalia possession.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

26A 24-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving after he lost control of his motorcycle at Glenway Street and Fiebrantz Avenue at 2:14 a.m. July 30. When officers arrived, he was standing next to the severely damaged bike with blood dripping from his mouth and at least one tooth missing. He said he lost control and had to put the bike down, then he tried to push it home. The motorcycle had struck two trash cans and pushed them into vehicles. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital, for his injuries and a blood draw to determine his alcohol content.

27A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and driving without a license after his Jeep backed into a vehicle at San Camillo, 10200 W. Bluemound Road, at 11:17 p.m. Aug. 2. He said he was picking his wife up from work - she was really a female friend that had loaned him her car - and after she got into his Jeep, he struck a parked vehicle. He refused sobriety tests. He was in violation of his parole for sexual assault.

ACCIDENT

28A 54-year-old woman was taken to Aurora West Allis Medical Center for back and leg pain after she was struck by a car pulling into a parking space at Peace Acupuncture and Herb Pharmacy, 12201 W. Burleigh St., at 10:11 a.m. July 31. The woman had been unloading items from her minivan. No citations were issued.

29A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for hit-and-run, driving without a license and operating an uninsured car after she tried to pull around a car that was turning in the 2400 block of North 73rd Street at 11:25 a.m. July 31. Her car struck a street sign and two city trees. She got out of the car and took off running. She stopped when a patrol car pulled up to her at 72nd and Wright streets. She said her body hurt and she was having difficulty breathing so she was taken to Froedtert Hospital for observation.

30A 15-year-old girl experiencing leg pain and a 15-year-old girl suffering an asthma attack were taken to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin after their vehicle was struck at Mayfair Road and Center Street at 2:30 p.m. July 31. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 31-year-old Milwaukee woman, was cited for failing to yield right of way and driving without insurance.

31A 51-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital for neck and wrist pain after her vehicle was struck from behind and pushed into the car she was following at Swan Boulevard and Beverly Place at 5:47 p.m. July 31. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 35-year-old man, was cited for failing to keep his vehicle under control and driving without insurance.

VANDALISM

32Two metal poles removed from the parking lot were used to break out two windows at Madison Elementary School, 9925 W. Glendale Ave., between 2:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 6:15 a.m. Aug. 2. A wire cover box was also torn from a wall. Damage was estimated at $160.

33A window and ignition had been removed from a vehicle in the 2600 block of North 69th Street before 10:14 a.m. Aug. 4.

OTHER

34A man used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase a $5 DVD and received real currency as change at Best Buy, 2421 N. Mayfair Road, at 9:04 p.m. July 30. The money was a washed-out $5 bill.

35Two people passed counterfeit $100 bills at Target, 3900 N. 124th St., at 9:20 p.m. July. 30. A man bought $5 underwear and received real currency for change. A minute later a woman purchased candy and two washcloths for less than $10 with a fake bill and received money back. They were washed $5 bills with the same serial numbers.

36Three men were seen holding what appeared to be a gun in the Citgo parking lot, 10324 W. Bluemound, at 3:25 p.m. Aug. 1. Neighbors saw a car pull out and three men get out and take off their shirts. Then they took a backpack from the trunk and pulled out what looked like a handgun. The driver pointed it at the ground, his car and a building before handing it to one of the passengers that did the same. They put it back in the car and disappeared for a few minutes before getting back into the car and leaving.

37A large party of people passed three counterfeit $5 bills as part of their payment at Dave & Buster's, 2201 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:45 p.m. Aug. 1.

38A woman arrived to pick up a forged prescription for Hydrocodone at CVS, 7520 W. Bluemound Road, at 10:06 a.m. Aug. 5. When the pharmacist delayed, she took off.

Wauwatosa Police Department responded to four domestic violence incidents in the past week.
