BURGLARY

1A house in the 8500 block of West Wisconsin Avenue had its door kicked in between 9 and 9:35 a.m. Dec. 3. Nothing was taken, but due to the short amount of time that the burglary occurred in, many squads were sent. Nobody saw anyone, and police didn't find a suspect.

2A snow blower valued at $200 was stolen from an unlocked garage in the 3000 block of North 122nd Street between 4:30 and 7 p.m. Dec. 4.

3An iPad valued at $729 was taken from Westwood Dry Cleaners, 8731 W. North Ave., between 4 and 5 p.m. Dec. 5. The burglar entered the business from the back door, which is left open during the day, and took the iPad from a break room table.

THEFT

4A 17-year-old Wauwatosa boy was arrested for taking a backpack containing textbooks and an iPad, a total value of $742, from Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., between 4:34 and 5:17 p.m. Nov. 12. The boy said he and his friends took the bag and sold the iPad. The boy was found by police after reviewing video surveillance.

5A handbag and shoes were taken from a car in the 1200 block of North 62nd Street between 9:15 p.m. Nov. 29 and 6:45 a.m. Nov. 30. The handbag was found on Garfield Avenue at 63rd Street. Loss is estimated at $130.

6A credit card lost at Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, between 4:38 and 4:45 p.m. Dec. 1 was used to make an unauthorized transaction of $50 before it was canceled.

7A security guard had his $200 phone stolen from Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 2 and 10 p.m. Dec. 2. He had left it in his jacket, in a locker. The man tried finding his phone using an application, but was unable to locate it.

8A camera valued at $2,000 was taken from a dental office in the Fairview Building, 10425 W. North Ave. before 2:10 p.m. Dec. 3. The camera was taken two weeks before the owner called the police. He waited because he wanted to make sure he didn't leave it anywhere.

9A license plate was taken from a car in the 9900 block of West Ruby Avenue before 3 p.m. Dec. 3.

10A man stole five bottles of liquor, a total value of $126, from CVS Pharmacy, 7520 W. Bluemound Road, at 4:43 p.m. Dec. 3. Employees said that the man has stolen from the store at least nine or 10 times. The man was able to get away before police arrived.

11A cellphone valued at $300 was taken from the PolarX Ornaments kiosk at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 3. Surveillance video shows a man taking the phone from the stand.

12Two people took three pairs of sunglasses, a total value of $895, from Sunglass Hut at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:54 p.m. Dec. 3.

13A snowmobile trailer and scrap metal were taken from the back of Grand Project Management, 11311 W. Locust St., at 6:52 a.m. Dec. 4. A lock was cut on the gate. Loss is estimated at $5,800.

14A lock, a jacket and hiking boots were taken from a locker at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., between 8 and 8:52 a.m. Dec. 4. Loss is estimated at $138.

15A 17-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for taking three pairs of sunglasses, a value of $540, from Sunglass Hut at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:10 p.m. Dec. 4. He was found with $49 worth of items stolen from other stores on him.

16Two tool kits, a value of $398, were taken from The Home Depot, 4100 N. 124th St., at 7:57 a.m. Dec. 6. The man went to the front desk, said he was ready to be checked out and simply walked past the employee. He is wanted for several similar thefts in Milwaukee and West Allis Home Depot stores.

17A car's window was smashed and a purse was taken out of it while it was parked in the 2600 block of North 80th Street before 10:15 a.m. Dec. 6. A checkbook was in the purse. Damage is estimated at $400.

18A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for taking a pair of sunglasses valued at $269 from Solstice at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 4 p.m. Dec. 6. The man drove off but was stopped shortly afterward by police.

19A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking $261 worth of clothes from Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, at 11:25 a.m. Dec. 7. She used a baby carrier to conceal the clothes and tried leaving out of the side doors.

20A 2003 Nissan Maxima was taken while its owner was at the BP gas station at 7532 W. Center St. at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 7. The car is valued at $7,000 and had the man's cellphone, GPS unit and other items in it.

21A cash register was pried open and money was taken from it at Walgreens, 2656 N. Wauwatosa Ave., at 8:51 p.m. Dec. 7. Police reviewed surveillance video and saw a person crawl behind the unmanned counter, pry open the register with a tool and leave. Loss is estimated between $200 and $600.

22An iPad valued at $1,200 was taken from a man while he shopped at Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., between 11 a.m. and noon Dec. 8. The iPad was taken from his cart, and he did not realize it was stolen until he left.

ASSAULT

23A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for punching out another boy's teeth at Carmelite Home for Boys, 1214 Kavanaugh Place, at 6:34 p.m. Dec. 3. The victim was taken to the Children's Hospital of Wauwatosa.

DRUG POSSESSION

24A 21-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested after calling and hanging up on 911 from his home in the 2400 block of North 111th Street at 11:38 p.m. Dec. 6. Police say the man has called 911 multiple times and hung up because he didn't want to talk to the police. Police searched the man after the call and found 1 gram of marijuana on him.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

25A 28-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving after he fishtailed while turning onto Bluemound Road from 76th Street at 1:30 a.m. Dec. 4. The man was driving a convertible and said he wanted to enjoy the last good weather. His blood-alcohol content was 0.13.

26A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, at 68th Street and Interstate-94 at 2:56 a.m. Dec. 7. The man was swerving between the lanes. The man stumbled as he got out of the car and leaned on the vehicle. He refused to take a breath test; results of a blood test are pending.

27A 51-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 1400 block of North 68th Street at 4:07 p.m. Dec. 9. The vehicle was stuck in a driveway between two houses. The man said he tried to do a "spin around" and got stuck. His BAC was 0.22.

ACCIDENTS

28A 16-year-old girl was taken to the Children's Hospital for treatment of a possible head injury after a 71-year-old man hit the vehicle she was riding in at Wells and 60th streets at 7:41 a.m. Dec. 6.

VANDALISM

29A vehicle was scratched while it was parked at Target, 3900 N. 124th St., between 8:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Dec. 2. Damage is estimated at $500.

OTHER

30A 22-year-old West Allis man was arrested for violating a restraining order and bail-jumping at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 9:41 p.m. Dec. 2. Police recognized him as he got into a car with a woman who had a restraining order against him. The woman did not seek prosecution and wanted to lift the restraining order.

31A man entered the back of Hector's Restaurant, 7118 W. State St., at 4 p.m. Dec. 4. He got in by following an employee. He went to the top offices, turned on a light, turned off the light and ran out the rear of the building. He then ran through Leff's Lucky Town and escaped out the back. Nothing was stolen from Hector's.
