BURGLARY

1A garage was broken into in the 1500 block of North 116th Street between 4 p.m. Dec. 16 and 2 p.m. Dec. 17. Nothing was taken, but the door frame was damaged.

2A bicycle valued at $600 was taken from a garage in the 600 block of Elm Spring Avenue between 11 a.m. Dec. 18 and 4 a.m. Dec. 19.

3A computer and record player were taken from a home in the 10200 block of West Wisconsin Avenue between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Loss is estimated at $470. A door had been forced open to gain entry.

THEFT

4A catalytic converter valued at $1,000 was cut from a vehicle at Dataline Services, 6912 W. North Ave., between midnight Nov. 23 and 7 a.m. Dec. 20. A local recycler said there was an increase of catalytic converters being turned in for scrap in the past two weeks.

5A woman put an e-reader and a modem, a total value of $188, into her purse and walked out of RadioShack, 6407 W. North Ave., at 3:42 p.m. Dec. 18. A second woman put toys valued at $199 in her purse and followed the first woman out of the store.

6A television valued at $500 was taken from a guest room at Extended Stay America, 11121 W. North Ave., between 9:53 p.m. Dec. 18 and 1 p.m. Dec. 19. The bolts that had secured the TV to the bureau were found in the bathroom garbage.

7A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft at Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, at 12:19 p.m. Dec. 19. She had only been employed at the store for a month and several suspicious thefts had occurred in her checkout line. One Dec. 19, she scanned 34 items totaling $559, and then she rebooted her register, which voided the charges, and let the customer leave. She said she was paying back a loan from a friend in stolen merchandise.

8A cell phone valued at $300 was taken from Dental Association, 11711 W. Burleigh St., between noon and 1:15 p.m. Dec. 19. When the phone was called, a teen and a woman answered but said they knew nothing about the phone being stolen.

9A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft after he took circuit breakers valued at $326 from The Home Depot, 4100 N. 124th St., at 5:04 p.m. Dec. 19. He scolded himself as he was arrested because he was just about to get off probation for cocaine possession. The driver of the getaway vehicle, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

10A 16-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for retail theft after she took sunglasses valued at $295 from Solstice in Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 6 p.m. Dec. 19.

11Athletic shoes valued at $124 were taken from the boys locker room at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., at 11 a.m. Dec. 21. The lock was broken to gain entry.

12A laptop computer and a hard drive, a total value of $1,230, were taken from an office at Prudential Insurance, 10000 Innovation Drive, between 1 and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 21.

13Cash totaling $364 was taken from a backpack in the art studio at Wauwatosa East between noon and 1:20 p.m. Dec. 21.

14A cell phone and cash, a total value of $275, were taken from a jacket pocket of an employee at Pick 'n Save, 1717 N. Mayfair Road, between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Dec. 21. She was stocking shelves and had hung her coat on a rack in the aisle.

15A wallet valued at $190 was taken from a shopping cart at Dollar Tree, 2851 N. Mayfair Road, between 3 and 3:25 p.m. Dec. 21.

16A cell phone valued at $569 was taken from the Verizon kiosk at Mayfair before 3:08 p.m. Dec. 21.

17Three copper downspouts, a total value of $200, were taken from a residence in the 7200 block of West Wisconsin Avenue between 10 p.m. Dec. 21 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 22.

18A cell phone and cash, a total value of $203, was taken from the boys locker room at Wauwatosa East between 7:10 and 7:45 a.m. Dec. 22.

19A woman took six videogame controllers from Target, 3900 N. 124th St., at 9:25 a.m. Dec. 22. Loss is estimated at $240.

20A jacket valued at $300 was taken from a Wauwatosa East classroom between 2:11 and 3:15 p.m. Dec. 22.

21A woman put three pairs of boots, a total value of $385, in her purse and walked out of Designer Shoe Warehouse, 2265 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:24 p.m. Dec. 23. She also had taken $350 worth of shoes on Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.

22A 16-year-old girl and 18-year-old woman, both from Milwaukee, were arrested for retail theft after the girl put $250 worth of jeans into her purse and walked out of Macy's at 5:13 p.m. Dec. 23. The woman had three prior retail thefts on her record.

23A 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both from Milwaukee, were arrested for theft after they took liquor and baby formula from Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24. The couple brought in a baby carrier and diaper bag, but no baby. They used the items to conceal the merchandise. Loss is estimated at $185.

24A purse and MP3 player were taken from a vehicle at Dave & Buster's, 2201 N. Mayfair Road, between 3 and 5:52 p.m. Dec. 24. Loss is estimated at $499. A window was broken to gain entry.

25A purse valued at $1,230 was taken from a vehicle at St. Joseph School, 2750 N. 122nd St., between 3:45 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Windows had been broken on two vehicles.

26A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for retail theft after he pocketed three knit hats, a total value of $119, at Macy's at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 26.

The Wauwatosa Police Department responded to 13 thefts of items valued at less than $100 in the past week.

DRUG POSSESSION

27A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for marijuana and alcohol possession at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., at 9:22 a.m. Dec. 22. He and the kids he had driven to school smelled like pot. A bottle of liquor, rolling papers, flavored cigars and 1.5 grams of marijuana were found in his car.

28A 25-year-old West Allis man was arrested for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession after his vehicle was stopped for expired license plates at 121st Street and Cathedral Avenue at 7:49 p.m. Dec. 22. He had 1.76 grams of the drug and a glass pipe in the car.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

29A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at Mayfair Road and Center Street after an officer noticed he had expired license plates at 2:04 a.m. Dec. 21. He said he had been bartending in Greenfield and was drinking beers and shots throughout the night. The officer thought he smelled vomit coming from the vehicle, but the man said the smell was coming from staph infections in both legs, which were bandaged. His blood-alcohol content was 0.17.

ACCIDENT

30A 59-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital with a forehead abrasion and whiplash after he was in a vehicle collision at Mayfair Road and North Avenue at 2:34 p.m. Dec. 23. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 29-year-old woman, was cited for failing to yield while making a left turn.

VANDALISM

31A door was broken at a home in the 11300 block of West Meinecke Avenue after the home and a vehicle were egged at 1:39 a.m. Dec. 20. This was the second time the house had been egged in a week.

32Graffiti was painted on a tree, park sign, railing and stone steps at 62nd and Wells streets in Jacobus Park at 3 p.m. Dec. 22.

OTHER

33A 15-year-old boy was cited for habitual truancy for missing 17 school days so far this year at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., at 3:38 p.m. Dec. 19. He said his mother was supposed to call him in sick, but he actually just didn't want to go to school on those days.

34Two Milwaukee boys, ages 12 and 13, were arrested for disorderly conduct at Longfellow Middle School, 7600 W. North Ave., at 7:55 a.m. Dec. 20. The boys got into a physical fight about a girl. They made threats about a fight on Facebook prior to the incident. A school counselor tried to break up the altercation as more than 20 students watched.

35A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after he punched another boy in the mouth at Carmelite Home for Boys, 1214 Kavanaugh Place, at 10:03 a.m. Dec. 22. The two struggled over a basketball on the court and it turned into a fight. The victim's mouth was bleeding and he had a swollen upper lip.

36A 20-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for underage drinking after police received calls about a possible break-in at a home in the 1000 block of North 121st Street at 1:11 a.m. Dec. 23. The homeowner woke to pounding on his door. The man had been doing vodka shots at a house party. When he went outside for some air, he ended up returning to the wrong house. His blood-alcohol content was 0.19.

The Wauwatosa Police Department responded to two domestic violence incidents in the past week.
