BURGLARY

1A storm door was pried open from a house in the 2400 block of North 65th Street between 1 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Dec. 18. The owner was trying to sell the home and had no personal property in it. A knife valued at $10 was taken.

2A backdoor window was smashed out from a house in the 800 block of North 117th Street between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 20. When the owner checked, the lower lock was still locked and there were no footprints in his house. Nothing was taken. Damage to the window is $30.

3A coffee can that held $135 and a battery tester was stolen from Fast Track Lube, 6207 W. North Ave. between 5:55 p.m. Dec. 22 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 23. The suspects broke into the interior office to take the items but it is unsure how they got into the store as there were no signs of forced entry. Total loss is $385.

4A home in the 2200 block of North 105th Street was broken into via a garage door between 4 and 5 p.m. Dec. 23. Many caps and shoes were taken, a total value of $1,180.

THEFT

5A digital media player, a credit card and two large bags of cheese were stolen from Bright Horizons Daycare, 8624 Watertown Plank Road, between 8:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 6 p.m. Dec. 17. Total loss is $165.

6An unlocked truck was rummaged through and $2 in spare change was stolen from it while it was parked in the 1300 block of North 120th Street between 4 p.m. Dec. 16 and 8 a.m. Dec. 17.

7A 23-year-old Sussex woman was arrested for retail theft after taking two pairs of jeans valued at $213 from Buckle at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 17.

8A 36-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 49-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested for taking $149 of baby formula from Target, 3900 N. 124th St., at 2:16 p.m. Dec. 17.

9Two 17-year-old girls, one from Fond du Lac and the other from Milwaukee, were arrested for taking $287 of clothing from Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 18. The two said they were doing Christmas shopping and didn't have the money to get what they wanted.

10A vehicle's driver-side window was smashed and multiple credit cards were taken from it while it was parked at Cardinal Fitness, 2885 N. Mayfair Road, between 6 and 7 p.m. Dec. 18. The credit cards were canceled quickly and showed no fraudulent charges.

11An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for taking a pair of headphones valued at $150 from Target, 3900 N. 124th St. at 10:38 a.m. Dec. 19. The man was recognized as a suspect for two consecutive thefts the previous two days.

12Two black males, described as being 30-35 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches, took a 55-gallon garbage can with 200 pounds of scrap wire in it from Viking Electrical Supply, 2900 N. 112th St., at 12:06 p.m. Dec. 19. The two were seen driving a silver late '90s GM two-door car with damage to the front. Total loss is $350.

13A vehicle's passenger-side window was smashed out and a laptop computer taken from it while it was parked at Mo's Irish Pub, 10842 W. Bluemound Road, between 7 and 9:15 p.m. Dec. 19. Total damage is estimated at $1,150.

14A vehicle's passenger-side window was smashed and a jacket and cellphone were taken from it while it was parked at Cardinal Fitness, 2885 N. Mayfair Road, between noon and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Total loss is estimated at $650.

15A vehicle's window was smashed out and $33 in cash taken from it while it was parked in the 2400 block of North 100th Street between 10 a.m. Dec. 21 and 7:55 a.m. Dec. 22. Damage to the window is estimated at $250.

16Two 18-year-old Milwaukee women were arrested for taking two shirts from Abercrombie and Fitch at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 11:20 a.m. Dec. 21. Total theft is $116.

17A 14-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for taking $100 of T-shirts from Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:36 p.m. Dec. 21.

18A man had a shopping bag containing $197 in clothes and underwear taken from him while he was shopping at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 9 p.m. Dec. 21.

19Five people ran out on a $47 meal from Applebee's, 6750 W. State St., at 9:16 p.m. Dec. 21.

20A dress valued at $104 was taken from Refined Boutique, 1430 Underwood Ave., at 1:05 p.m. Dec. 22. Police followed a suspect to Starbucks, spoke with her and decided she didn't do it.

21A woman's cellphone was taken from her while she was shopping at Build-a-Bear at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 1:10 and 1:25 p.m. Dec. 22. She set her phone on a counter while building a bear, where it disappeared. Loss is estimated at $350.

22A woman's cellphone was taken from her while she was shopping at Payless Shoes at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 1:20 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 22. She said the phone dropped out of her pocket and believes someone picked it up shortly after.

23A license plate was taken from an SUV parked at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:02 p.m. Dec. 24.

24A 17-year-old Green Bay girl and a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy were arrested for taking $139 of liquor from Sentry Foods, 6700 W. State St., at 6:55 p.m. Dec. 26. The boy admitted to being involved in two prior thefts where he pulled a large knife on employees.

Police responded to seven thefts of items valued at less than $100 this week.

DRUG POSSESSION

25An 18-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for possession of paraphernalia after an anonymous source told school officials that she had marijuana at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., at 10:03 a.m. Dec. 17.

26A 24-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for possession of marijuana after police found 1.09 grams on him after pulling his car over at 60th and Wright streets at 8:56 a.m. Dec. 18.

27A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for marijuana possession after he was pulled over in 2600 block of North 116th Street at 4:32 p.m. Dec. 19. He admitted to having the marijuana and was found with 7 grams of it, two pipes and a grinder.

28A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 24-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested for marijuana possession after a license plate check revealed they both had warrants on them while they were parked at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 12:24 p.m. Dec. 20. The two had 4.22 grams of marijuana and the man admitted to being addicted to smoking weed. He was on probation for selling marijuana.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

29A 35-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving after police stopped his vehicle at Mayfair and Burleigh roads at 12:35 a.m. Dec. 22. He was on parole for possession of marijuana and had a blood alcohol content of 0.215.

30A 29-year-old West Allis man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after he was seen throwing a can of beer out the window at 69th Street and Wisconsin Avenue at 1:49 a.m. Dec. 23. He had a can of beer on the passenger front floor, and a can in the back. He had three open warrants for his arrest through the Milwaukee County Sherriff's Office and a revoked driver's license.

ACCIDENTS

31A 45-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital after the van he was riding in was hit by a car driven by a 26-year-old at 121st Street and Bluemound Road at 3:54 p.m. Dec. 18. The car slid into the van due to the slush and snow.

32A 34-year-old woman, a 9-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl were taken to Froedtert and Children's hospitals after they were hit by a Ford sedan at Burleigh Road and 117th Street at 4 p.m. Dec. 18. The driver of the striking car drove off.

33A 61-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital after a truck hit him while he was trying to cross the road at the intersection of Glenview and Wisconsin avenues at 6:12 p.m. Dec. 18. The truck's mirror hit his jaw. The driver of the truck was given a citation for failure to yield right of way to a pedestrian.

There were 13 accidents were reported between 1:28 and 6:10 p.m. Dec. 18.

VANDALISM

34A vehicle's front and rear driver-side tires were slashed while it was parked in the Rosebud parking lot, 6823 W. North Ave., between 9 and 11 p.m. Dec. 12. Total damage is estimated at $500.

35A van's window was smashed while it was parked in the 2500 block of North 63rd Street 10:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and 3:20 a.m. Dec. 19. Nothing was taken from it.

36A van's window was smashed while it was parked in a driveway in the 1200 block of Dewey Ave. at 10 p.m. Dec. 21.

37A van's window was smashed out while it was parked in the 6200 block of Meinecke Avenue at 8:36 a.m. Dec. 26. Damage is estimated at $200.

OTHER

38Two counterfeit $20 bills were passed at Applebee's, 250 N. Mayfair Road, between 10 p.m. Dec. 14 and 1 a.m. Dec. 15. The suspects are unknown and the bills had identical serial numbers and no security strip.

39An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after he got into a fight with his ex-girlfriend over ownership of a phone at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, 1:19 p.m. Dec. 21. His ex, a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman, refused to put her phone in his name so he dragged her through the mall before he was stopped by security.

40A 1-year-old boy was bit on the face by a Great Dane while he was at his home in the 2200 block of Menomonee River Parkway at 5:51 p.m. Dec. 21. The mother believes the dog was getting food. The boy was taken to Children's Hospital for cuts on his face.

41A customer tried using a fake credit card to purchase $831 of clothes from Victoria's Secret at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 6:10 p.m. Dec. 21. Employees caught the fake and didn't let the woman purchase the items. The woman left before police arrived.

42A car was rummaged through while it was parked in the 8500 block of Glencoe Circle at 11:07 a.m. Dec. 22. Nothing was taken and there was no damage to the vehicle.

43An employee called police after they noticed a suspect from a prior robbery inside Walgreens, 10800 W. Capitol Drive, at 4:44 p.m. Dec. 24. The man wouldn't respond to them and left without buying anything.
