City of Wauwatosa

BURGLARY

1Electronic items were taken between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. April 26 from a residence in the 2600 block of North 71st Street. The door to the residence had been kicked in and damage is estimated at $500. There are no suspects.

2A bike valued at $100 was taken between 7 a.m. April 27 and 4 p.m. April 28 from a locked underground parking lot on the 7900 block of Harwood Avenue.

3Jewelry, electronic items and oxycodone pills valued at $1,600 were taken from a residence on the 2100 block of North 65th Street between 7 p.m. April 27 and 2 a.m. April 30. There were no signs of forced entry and there are no suspects.

THEFT

4Two bath tubs and two sinks valued at $2,600 were taken between 8 p.m. April 22 and 11 a.m. April 24 in the 7500 block of West Wright Street. The items were lying outside of a residence and were covered by a tarp.

5A suitcase containing miscellaneous items valued at $2,800 was taken from a vehicle at 12:44 p.m. April 23 in the 200 block of North Mayfair Road. The window was smashed resulting in $300 worth of damage.

6A 53-year-old Milwaukee man and a 54-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested for theft at 1:25 p.m. April 24 at Hansen Storage, 2880 N. 112th St., after they took wooden pallets with an estimated value of between $150 and $200.

7Sunglasses and change valued at $102 were taken from an unlocked vehicle between 4 p.m. April 24 and 6:25 a.m. April 25 in the 10900 block of Harvard Lane.

8A GPS unit and a Kindle valued at $298 were taken from an unlocked vehicle between 8:30 p.m. April 24 and 7:30 a.m. April 25 in the 500 block of North 111th Street.

9A GPS unit valued at $179 was taken from a locked vehicle between 12:30 and 7 a.m. April 25 on the 500 block of North 112th Street. There was no damage to the vehicle. The victim remembers locking the doors.

10Hair products valued at $350 were taken at 4:29 p.m. April 25 from Supercuts, 6810 W. State St.

11Two Milwaukee girls, 17, were arrested for criminal trespass to a dwelling at 8:10 p.m. April 25 at the Buckle at Mayfair. One of the juveniles was also arrested for retail theft after taking jeans valued at $148 and being a fugitive. Both had been banned from the mall previously.

12A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested at 9:03 p.m. April 25 after taking $125 worth of candy bars from Walgreens, 6600 W. State St.

13A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft and a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of stolen property and being a fugitive between 6 and 6:10 p.m. April 26 at The Buckle at Mayfair. The 34-year-old took $326 worth of jeans from The Buckle and the 29-year-old hid a pair of the stolen jeans in her purse. The 29-year-old had a warrant for retail theft through the Glendale Police Department.

14A cellphone, iPod Touch and golf shoes valued at $690 were taken from a vehicle parked at Mo's Irish Pub, 10842 W. Bluemound Road between 11 p.m. April 26 and 1 a.m. April 27. The vehicle's window was pried open and smashed.

15A digital camera and accessories valued at $3,000 were taken from a vehicle between 11:30 p.m. April 26 and 1:30 a.m. April 27 while it was parked in the Mo's Irish Pub parking lot, 10842 W. Bluemound Road. The rear passenger window was smashed.

A man reported his debit card was missing sometime after 7:20 a.m. April 27. An unknown suspect made $1,900 worth of fraudulent purchases at retail stores in Wauwatosa and West Allis using the debit card.

16A briefcase was taken from a vehicle at 1:18 p.m. April 27 at the Wisconsin Athletic Club, 8700 W. Watertown Plank Road. The window was smashed and damage is estimated at $300.

17A woman's purse valued at $100 was taken at 3:28 p.m. April 28 outside of Pottery Barn at Mayfair.

18A locked minivan valued at $3,000 was taken from a driveway on the 2100 block of North 64th Street between 10:30 p.m. April 29 and 12:57 a.m. April 30.

Wauwatosa Police Department responded to 19 thefts of items valued at less than $100 in the past week.

ASSAULT

19A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for simple assault at 12:50 a.m. April 26 in the 1200 block of Kavanaugh Place after hitting another juvenile in the nose.

DRUG POSSESSION

20A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 0.265 grams of marijuana at 3:10 p.m. April 27 in the 9900 block of West Grantosa Drive after he was pulled over for traveling 20 miles over the speed limit.

21A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 1.56 grams of marijuana and an outstanding warrant and a 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for an outstanding warrant at 8:05 p.m. April 27 at Mayfair. An officer smelled marijuana when the two subjects walked past him during his routine checks at the mall.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

22A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for second offense drunken driving at 11:56 p.m. April 24 during a traffic stop at 68th and Wright streets. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. The man was pulled over for driving 20 miles over the speed limit. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.21. The man was also found to have a marijuana cigarette weighing 0.59 grams.

23A 50-year-old Dousman woman was arrested for fifth offense drunken driving and violating a prohibited alcohol concentration, which is 0.02 or greater, at 12:17 a.m. April 27 at 105th Street and Burleigh Avenue. She was pulled over after officers saw her driving westbound in an eastbound lane on the 10200 block of West Burleigh Street. She was taken to Wisconsin Heart Hospital for a blood sample after a preliminary BAC of 0.20 during a breath sample. She was convicted once in 1993 and three times in 1995 for drunken driving.

ACCIDENT

24A 76-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 68-year-old Jackson man were taken to Froedtert Hospital for minor injuries at 2:22 p.m. April 25 after a five-car accident on the 10500 block of West Burleigh Street. The man complained of pain from his hip to face and jaw area and the woman complained of injuries to her neck and both her left and right knees. A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for inattentive driving and driving a motor vehicle without proof of insurance after his vehicle struck the vehicle in front of him causing three additional vehicles to be rear ended during a time of heavy traffic.

VANDALISM

25A rock was thrown through the window of a vehicle parked in the Walgreens parking lot, 6600 W. State St., at 5:20 p.m. April 25. Damage is estimated at $300.

26A vehicle's window was smashed between 11:30 p.m. April 26 and 1:30 a.m. April 27 while it was parked in the Mo's Irish Pub parking lot, 10842 W. Bluemound Road.

27The window of a vehicle was smashed between 7 p.m. April 27 and 1:15 p.m. April 28 while it was parked in an underground garage on the 7900 block of Harwood Avenue.

OTHER

28A suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill at Target, 3900 N. 124th St., at 6:37 p.m. April 15. The suspect purchased a $7 item and received $93 back in change. The employee provided police with a second counterfeit $100 bill that was used at Target either on April 3 or April 4.

29A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct at 8:48 a.m. April 26 at Wheaton Franciscan Urgent Care, 201, N. Mayfair Road, after the woman he lives with and has two children with called police at the hospital when the man became argumentative and loud about his treatment. She felt threatened by the man and was scared for hospital staff.

30A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at 3:45 p.m. April 26 in the 1600 block of North Mayfair Road after throwing glass bottles at another vehicle because she said the vehicle almost crashed into her vehicle.

31A 15-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for trespassing at 8:23 p.m. April 26 at Mayfair. She was previously banned from the mall.

32A 15-year-old girl was cited for habitual truancy at 10:55 a.m. April 27 at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave. She has missed six partial school days during the second semester.

33A 16-year-old boy was cited for habitual truancy at 10:57 a.m. April 27 at Wauwatosa East High School. He has missed 22 full or partial days of school during the second semester.

34A woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital after being bitten by a leashed dog at 8:06 a.m. April 29 while she was running on the 7100 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The dog bit the woman's calf and she suffered a laceration of at least two inches in length and required stitches. The dog was ordered to be quarantined per a city ordinance.
