Police Report: Nov. 27

ROBBERY

1A man was jumped and robbed in the 1100 block of West Bluemound Road at 10:23 p.m. Nov. 24. The man was drunk when he was robbed of $30. He didn't see his attackers, who he claims hit him in the head from behind, knocking him out. He wasn't robbed of his wallet or cigarettes, which were on him at the time of the crime.

BURGLARY

2An apartment in the 9900 block of West North Avenue was broken into between 4 p.m. Nov. 21 and 8 a.m. Nov. 25. The door may have been unlocked by the residents, who were on vacation. Multiple video games, a laptop computer along with loose change were taken. Loss is valued at $998.

THEFT

3A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after a woman called police when she noticed five fraudulent charges on her credit card, a total of $124, between Oct. 19 and Oct. 24. She had suspected an employee of Noodles & Co, 12132 W. Capitol Drive, due to her having her last transaction there. Police followed up and questioned the Noodles employee, who admitted to memorizing the number and making the charges.

4A catalytic converter, valued at $1,000, was sawed off a truck in the Kitchen Saver parking lot, 6531 W. North Ave., between Oct. 25 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 9.

5A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for taking video games while he was an employee of Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, between 6 p.m. Nov. 14 and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 21. He had taken four games, a total of $270, over the course of his employment.

6Two laptop computers were taken from Principal Financial Group, 10200 Innovation Drive, between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and 10:45 a.m. Nov. 19. A moving business had propped open the door of the business in order to set up cubicles and move file cabinets.

7Three bottles of liquor, a total value of $101, were taken from CVS, 7520 W. Bluemound Road, at 12:10 p.m. Nov. 19. The thief took the bottles into the corner of the store, removed the tags and ran out the door.

8A 42-year-old Milwaukee man and a 48-year-old Milwaukee woman were arrested for taking $137 of groceries and alcohol from Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 7:51 p.m. Nov. 19.

9 An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking $365 of clothes and other items from five stores in Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 20.

10A laptop computer was taken from Leffler Cleaning, 6526 River Parkway, from 4:30 p.m. Nov. 21 to 8:30 a.m. Nov. 26. The doors were left unlocked. The computer is valued at $600.

11A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for taking $183 worth of baby clothes from Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 6:12 p.m. Nov. 21. The woman said she was going to give them to her sister, whose baby was having an upcoming birthday.

12A 16-year-old Milwaukee girl and a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman were arrested for taking two pants, a value of $327, from Buckle at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 7:20 p.m. Nov. 21. The 19-year-old has three prior warrants for her arrest.

13A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for $128 of clothing from Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:29 p.m. Nov. 24. She was with a 16-year-old, her 6-year-old daughter, 1-year-old son and 1-month-old daughter.

14A stereo was stolen out of a 2003 Dodge Stratus parked in the 11100 block of West Meinecke Avenue between 6:45 and 10:30 p.m. Nov. 25. The car's steering column was damaged in an apparent attempt to steal the car.

Police responded to seven thefts of items valued at less than $100.

ASSAULT

15A 14-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested after he punched his mother in the face, cutting her lip in the Pick 'n Save parking lot, 6950 W. State St., at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 19. The mother was telling him not to call his brother names when he punched her.

16A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was beaten by her boyfriend in the parking lot of McDonald's, 12324 W. North Ave., at 4:08 a.m. Nov. 23. She had injuries to her forearm, forehead and a bite on her cheek. She refused to give police any information about her boyfriend.

DRUG POSSESSION

17Two Wauwatosa boys, ages 15 and 17, were arrested for underage drinking and possession of alcohol in the 6800 block of Terrace Court at 1:35 a.m. Nov. 21. The boys were riding their bicycles down the middle of the road. The 15-year-old had a blood alcohol content of 0.04 and vomited in a trash can at the police station. The 15-year-old also had 0.46 grams of marijuana on him and tried running from the police on his bicycle before stopping.

18A 33-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 7600 block of Bluemound Drive at 5:56 p.m. Nov. 22. The man ran away from police while they were questioning him as he was picking cigarette butts from an ashtray. Police caught him after he tripped in a yard. The man had syringes and a heroin cooker on him. He said he ran because he had a felony warrant for his arrest.

19A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of paraphernalia after being pulled over for speeding at the intersection of Burleigh and 102nd streets at 8:38 p.m. Nov. 23. Police found a marijuana pipe and grinder in the car.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

20A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, in the 10000 block of Watertown Plank Road at 11:19 p.m. Nov. 21. Her BAC was 0.132.

21A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 1100 block of North 68th Street at 1:27 a.m. Nov. 24. His BAC was 0.16. The man said that he had 14 beers throughout the day and was driving to Potawatomi Casino.

22A 48-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after he crossed the centerline at the intersection of Menomonee River Parkway and Swan Boulevard at 2:46 a.m. Nov. 25. His BAC was 0.12.

ACCIDENTS

23A 57-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital after a 94-year-old woman hit her vehicle while taking a left turn in the intersection of 115th Street and North Avenue at 9:47 a.m. Nov. 21. The 94-year-old asked if the car that had hit her left and was informed that she was the one at fault and was given a ticket for failure to yield.

VANDALISM

24A mailbox valued at $150 was knocked over in the 10400 block of West Hillside Avenue between 9:30 and 10 p.m. Nov. 17.

OTHER

A woman called police after noticing that her father had received a credit card statement saying he owed $3,514 in credit card debt accumulated between May of 2011 and Jan. 22, 2012. The woman's father is homebound and she has power of attorney for him. She had previously called about the card in 2011 and thought the issue was resolved until she received the statement.

A Wauwatosa man received a call from a man posing to be from the Publisher's Clearing House at 9:56 a.m. Nov. 19. The caller said that the man won $5 million and a Mercedes-Benz and that he would have to go to a CVS pharmacy, purchase a $350 green dot money pack. The caller would then send two people to his place and take him to a bank where he would make the deposit into an account. The number was from Jamaica.

25The owner of Proud Precision Painters, 2825 N. Mayfair Road, called police due to threatening emails he was receiving from a former employee at 12:31 p.m. Nov. 19. The employee, a 31-year-old Racine man, was fired due to disagreements over payment and sent emails allegedly stating he would rob the owner if he didn't get his money back.

26A 32-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he yelled at a Sears employee and his neighbor because he ran into the employee's truck, which was parked behind him in the 8500 block of West Clarke Street at 5 p.m. Nov. 19.

A Wauwatosa woman received a phone call from a man posing to be from Publisher's Clearing House and that she had won a $3.5 million jackpot at 9:42 a.m. Nov. 20. The caller said that she would have to purchase a $250 green dot money pack phone card. The man also said that the woman should call his number, later found to be from Jamaica, so that he would send a representative to her house to deliver the check.

27A woman called police because a car was blocking her from getting out in the 7500 block of West Center Street at 9:54 a.m. Nov. 20. Police found that the vehicle was listed as stolen with the West Allis Police Department. The vehicle was taken from a carjacking and was a 2005 Dodge Magnum.

Police responded to two domestic disturbance calls this week.
