Police Report: Sept. 4

BURGLARY

1Electronics and cash were taken from a house in the 10000 block of West Courtland Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Aug. 27. Loss is estimated at $1,538. The basement window was smashed to gain access to the house.

2A bicycle valued at $180 was taken from a garage in the 8400 block of Stickney Avenue between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 27.

3A window was smashed and $1,910 worth of items were stolen from a home in the 11000 block of West Ruby Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Sept. 2.

THEFT

A man reported fraudulent transactions were made with his credit card. He believes the charges occurred between June 6 and Aug. 20. He made a one-time payment for a family member's cellphone bill, but that family member kept using his credit card to make payments while he was in jail. He said that the bill totaled $142.

A man reported a $357.45 fraudulent charge on his credit card. He believes the fraudulent transactions occurred between 8 a.m. Aug. 22 and 8 a.m. Aug. 25. The credit card was put on hold due to the charge being from a Walmart in Arkansas.

4Money was stolen from Plank Road Clinic, 1155 N. Mayfair Road, between 5:10 p.m. Aug. 24 and 7:15 a.m. Aug. 27. Loss is estimated at $330.

5A 1999 Volkswagen Beetle was taken from a driveway in the 2300 block of North 61st Street between 7:35 and 7:44 p.m. Aug. 26. The car and another had been rummaged through on Aug. 20 and her spare key had been taken. She believes the spare is how the thieves gained access to her vehicle.

6A cellphone and wallet were taken from a car in the 1900 block of North 85th Street between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 27. Loss is estimated at $150.

7A debit card was stolen at Target, 3900 N. 124th St., and used to make fraudulent transactions. The theft was reported at 11:56 a.m. Aug. 27. A total of $813 was spent from her account.

A woman's credit card number was used to make multiple fraudulent purchases, totaling at $640, at a Home Depot in California. The theft was reported at 2:52 p.m. Aug. 27.

8A 36-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking shirts estimated at $254 from Joseph A. Bank at Mayfair, 2500 Mayfair Road, at 3:10 p.m. Aug. 27. It was her third arrest for retail theft.

9A 25-year-old Greenfield man was arrested after his manager caught him taking alcohol from Sendik's, 8616 W. North Ave., at 8:29 p.m. Aug. 27.

10T-shirts were taken from Uniform Place, 811 N. 68th St., at 4:52 p.m. Aug. 29. The window washer and store manager watched as three people entered the store, took the items and drove off. The thieves went into different parts of the store to avoid detection. They nearly struck a county bus with their vehicle on the way out.

11Credit cards were stolen from two vehicles in the 4100 block of North Mayfair Road between 11 p.m. Aug. 31 and 7:15 a.m. Sept. 1. The two vehicles were damaged, with both of their windows smashed out. The total damage to the vehicles is valued at $1,500.

12Two 16-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested for taking a bike in the 9100 block of West North Avenue at 4:45 p.m. Sept. 1. The man who reported the bike stolen found the boys and stayed with them until police arrived. Police found $128 worth of stolen games on the boys as well.

13A diaper bag and a camera were taken from a vehicle in the 2200 block of North 102nd Street between 11 p.m. Sept. 1 and 6 a.m. Sept. 2. Loss is estimated at $300.

14A woman found her iPhone, valued at $500, missing while she was shopping in The Discovery Store, 2857 N. Mayfair Road, at 5 p.m. Sept. 2. Using the tracking app, "Where is My iPhone," she was able to track it to the theater at Mayfair. At this point the iPhone was shut off and she wasn't able to find it.

DRUG POSSESSION

15An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested after police responded to complaints of panhandling in the Subway parking lot, 6804 W. North Ave., at 6:41 p.m. Aug. 30. The woman had an outstanding warrant for drug possession and police found a marijuana pipe on her. When interviewed, she admitted to smoking weed every day.

16A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested after police stopped her for driving without headlights on at the corner of 113th Street and North Avenue at 12:24 a.m. Sept. 2. The woman had three-fourths of a bottle of vodka, a loaded handgun and 2.6 grams of marijuana in her vehicle.

VANDALISM

17A soap dispenser and urinal divider were destroyed in the bathrooms in the Wauwatosa School District's Fisher Building, 12121 W. North Ave., between 7 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Aug. 26. Human feces was found in the sink. Damage is estimated at $140.

18Multiple phrases were spray-painted on the side of a retaining wall at St. Bernard's Parish, 1500 Wauwatosa Ave., between 8 a.m. Aug. 28 and 4 p.m. Aug. 29.

19A woman reported her vehicle's hood and passenger-side door were scratched in 2200 block of North 64th Street between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 28 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 29. No damage estimate was available.

OTHER

20A man reported a noose tied around the flagpole in his yard in the 2600 block of North 90th Street between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and 5:40 a.m. Aug. 27. He believes the noose was tied as a prank.

21A woman reported a stolen van in her alleyway in the zero block of North 101st Street at 8:07 a.m. Aug. 27. The police were able to contact the owner and return the van.

22A 54-year-old woman took her 13-year-old granddaughter to the police station after her daughter punched her. The incident occurred while the grandmother was driving at Mayfair and Bluemound roads at 3:31 p.m. Aug. 27. The grandmother didn't want the 13-year-old to be prosecuted, but wanted the police to talk to her.

23A counterfeit $10 bill was found in a customer's deposit box at Focus Credit Union, 1530 N. 68th St., at 11:49 a.m. Aug. 28.
