School diversity is topic of upcoming presentation

The Wauwatosa and West Allis-West Milwaukee school districts will present "Tranformation of Suburban Schools: How to Benefit from the Growing Diversity in our Schools" at 7 p.m. Nov. 26 in the Steiner Center at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St.

Complimentary refreshments will be available starting at 6:30 p.m.

Demond Means, superintendent of the Mequon-Thiensville School District will share his views on the impact of changing demographics in suburban school districts, how diverse populations broaden learning environments and strategies that teachers and parents can use to ensure all students are successful.

Means has been an administrator is several suburban school districts. He has a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University, and is a member of the governing board of the American Association of School Educators.

Admission is free.
