Associate principal appointed at Whitman
Kyle Moore has been appointed associate principal at Whitman Middle School.
Moore, a native of Sheboygan, is a graduate of Sheboygan South High School. He has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and earned an educational leadership license from Marian University.
Moore has 14 years experience as an educator. He was a fourth-grade teacher and was dean of students for the fifth through eighth grades at Richmond School in Sussex, a feeder school to the Arrowhead School District.
Moore is married and the father of two boys.
Nominations sought for Kohl fellowships
The Herb Kohl Foundation is accepting nominations for 2013 Herb Kohl Teacher Feellowship Awards.
The fellowship program recognizes and supports teaching excellence and innovation. To be eligible for a fellowship, teachers must be nominated by parents, teachers, students, community members or administrators. Nomination forms are available at www.kohleducation.org, and are due on Sept. 28.
The foundations awards $1,000 grants to 100 teachers, and additional $1,000 grants to their schools.
