Wauwatosa Police Report: June 4

ROBBERY

1A man took $50 from an employee of McCormick & Schmick, 2550 N. Mayfair Road, at 9:27 p.m. May 24. The man asked for change for a $50 bill and when the employee gave him two $20s and a $10, he said "thanks" and took off. His name, age and community were redacted from the report.

2A woman was robbed of her purse when she was getting into her vehicle in the 6200 block of West North Avenue at 11:40 a.m. May 28. The robber, a male, walked up to her said, "ma'am" and took her purse, pushing her to the ground. Witnesses got the vehicle's license plate, which belongs to a stolen vehicle. Total loss is $240.

BURGLARY

3A purse was taken from a home in the 2300 block of north 63rd Street between 3:30 and 6 p.m. May 29. The purse contained three credit cards, all of which were used at stores in Milwaukee before they were canceled. Total loss is $54; the cards were used to make $279 of fraudulent purchases.

4A garage in the 2700 block of North 74th Street was broken into and $600 worth of tools and a lawnmower were taken from it between 12:01 and 8:30 a.m. June 2. The garage was unlocked.

THEFT

5A 2012 silver Ford Taurus was taken from a driveway in the 2500 block of North 66th Street between 6:30 p.m. May 28 and 2:30 a.m. May 29. Another car was parked behind the Taurus and was pushed into a tree. Total loss is estimated at $30,000.

6A man's credit card was stolen from a locker at YMCA, 2420 N. 124th St., between 3 and 4 p.m. May 29. His credit cards were later used to make fraudulent transactions for $200 at George Webb. Total loss is valued at $35.

7A woman was arrested for taking $286 in clothing from Hollister at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 2:50 p.m. June 1. When confronted by the store manager, she ran out the door, tripped, tried lunging at him and eventually was subdued by security. The woman's name, age and community were redacted from the report.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

8A man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, when he failed all field sobriety tests after he was pulled over driving 40 MPH in a 25 MPH zone at Harding Boulevard and Menomonee River Parkway at 5 p.m. May 31. He refused a breath test and blood draw results are pending. The man's name, age and community were redacted from the report.

DRUG POSSESSION

9A boy was arrested for having .9 grams of marijuana after he and his friends ran from police at Honey Creek Parkway and Portland Avenue at 2:22 p.m. May 24. He and his friends were dumping marijuana in the river when caught. The boy's name, age and community were redacted from the report.

OTHER

10A juvenile male was arrested for possession of alcohol after he ran from police and ditched a bag with a 1-liter bottle of vodka in it in the 7900 block of Saint Anne Court at 12:34 a.m. May 26. The male said he was under personal pressure from school sports and wanted to "get into trouble" to get out of the sports. His name, age and community were redacted from the report.

Police responded to at least one domestic disturbance call this week.
