East meets Broadway: The Elton John and Tim Rice musical "Aida!" is coming to Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., at 7:30 p.m. The show, which was a favorite on Broadway and won four Tony awards, will also be performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available at tosaeasttheatre.org. Tickets cost $15 for adults; $8 for senior citizens, students with ID and children 12 and younger.

Saturday

Run to Blarney Stone: Always the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day, the Wauwatosa Historical Society is hosting the Blarney Run once again at Wil-O-Way Underwood Clubhouse, 10602 Underwood Parkway. The 3.1 mile (5K) run or 2-mile walk and quarter-mile "Twinkle Tot" for those 10 and younger is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Registration costs $22 and includes a T-shirt and freebies.

Behind the scenes: Zoo trivia will be answered during the Milwaukee County Zoo's Behind the Scenes Weekend from 10 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All tours are free with regular admission; no reservations are needed.

Food and parades: Get in the festive mood with the Bluemound Parade, sponsored by the Bluemound Road Business Advancement Association. It begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Balistreri's Bluemound Inn, and runs from 65th Street to Mitchell Boulevard. The Friends of Saint Patrick-Milwaukee chapter will partner with the Hunger Task Force to collect food donations during the parade. The Hunger Task Force's "Free & Local Truck," identified with the Friends of Saint Patrick, will trail the trucks with grocery carts collecting non-perishable food donations, as well as cash donations along the parade route. Gathering of the masters: Master singers of Milwaukee will present the world premiere of choral work by native Brookfield composer Paul Fowler at the concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church, 1529 Wauwatosa Ave. "Lux Aeterna" and "Alleluia" were written for this premier choral group to perform with the Requiem by Maurice Durufle in their March concert. Both works quote from traditional liturgical chants. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased at mastersingersofmilwaukee.org or by calling (414) 364-8089.

Monday

Life and mission: The Friends of St. Patrick-Milwaukee Chapter is sponsoring an ecumenical discussion of the Life and Mission of St. Patrick from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 1717 Church St. The event is free and open to the public and will begin with a reception for Basil McCrea, a member of the legislative assembly in northern Ireland at Stormont and a member of the Ulster Unionist Party. The evening concludes with a presentation by McCrea on the government in northern Ireland today.
