World Division Playoffs

July 19 - Catfish 4, Sidewinders 2: In a first round tournament game, the Sidewinders started with a leadoff home run to take an early lead. Phillip Harper smashed a 2-RBI triple in the bottom of the first to give the Catfish the lead. Andrew Casey knocked in a run with a solid single in the second to add to the lead. Excellent Catfish pitching held the lead for the remainder of the game to secure the win.

July 21 - Catfish 16, Mudhens 1: In a second round tournament game, Megan Mikolajewski got the fireworks started with a single, in what would be an 8-hit, 6-run first. Parker Esswein and Phillip Harper each had a triple and 3 RBIs. A great team effort by the Catfish, with each player either scoring or knocking in a run. The Catfish pitching was stellar, with Rory Pulz pitching two scoreless innings.

July 23 - Catfish 4, Sea Dogs 1: In a semi-finals game, the Sea Dogs took the early lead with one in the first. Good defense by the Sea Dogs kept the Catfish off the boards through the first four innings. In the fifth inning, Parker Esswein started a two out rally for the Catfish with a single. Joseph Greenholt smashed a single that scored two in the inning to give the Catfish the lead. Rory Pulz then closed it down for the Catfish in the sixth inning, leaving two Sea Dogs on.

July 25 - Surf Dawgs 3, Catfish 2: In the title game, John Templeton smashed a single to center to knock in the first run and give the Catfish the early lead. The lead was short lived though, when the Surf Dawgs jumped on top scoring two in the bottom of the first. A great stop by pitcher Aiden Flynn to Nate Hemze at first held the Surf Dawgs to one in the third. The Surf Dawgs held the Catfish off the board until the fifth when Parker Esswein knocked in Megan Mikolajewski with a crushing double. That was all the Catfish could muster though as the Surf Dawgs held on to win the championship.
