YOUTH BASEBALL

Orioles 9, A's 8 - The Orioles (1-1) held the A's scoreless for three innings as Scott MacGillis and Nick Price each drove in two runs to extend the lead to 6-0. The A's battled back and eventually tied the game in the seventh, but the Orioles scored the winning run when Jake Brophy stole home plate in the bottom of the inning.

Comets 14, Robins 13 - The Robins escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first with the first of their two double plays. The Comets' Emily Becker struck out the side in the second. The Comets' Madison Crump and Kat Terwelp each knocked in two runs with two out in the second to take the lead. In the top of the third the Robins took the lead by scoring five with two outs. The Comets took the lead back in the bottom of the inning. The Robins scored twice in top of the sixth to take a two-run lead, but the Comets scored three in the bottom of the sixth for the win.

Comets 10, Whitnall Maroon 3 - The Comets' Meghan Erickson had a three-run triple in the first. With the Maroons threatening in the bottom of the second, Emily 'Houdini' Becker once again pitched out of a bases-loaded jam by striking out the last batter. In the top of the third, Erin Lindemann knocked in two more to add to the Comets' lead. The Comets' Allie Kuhn took the mound for the first time in the bottom of the third with an impressive outing, striking out one and catching a pop-up for an out. Margaret Radske pitched two scoreless innings for the Comets to finish out the win.

Tosa Flyers 9, Tosa Rebels 7 - The U7 Flyers continue their undefeated spring season with five goals scored by William Meyer while Logan Ertl and Evan Flierl each added two goals. Tough offensive moves by Nora Clossey, Catherine Fink, Ryan Piontek and Patrick Kirkpatrick led the team. Strong defense by Jack Clossey, Teddy Anagnostopoulos, Angelo Cicatello and Allen Feker.
