TOSA BASEBALL LEAGUE

American Division

Orioles 15, Twins 14 - The Orioles built an early lead June 21 and then held on late, defeating a scrappy Twins team. Jamey Squier hit leadoff for the O's and delivered, going 3-for-3 with a double, triple, and three RBIs. Michael Kiesling provided key two-out singles in both the fourth and fifth innings, helping keep Orioles innings alive. Kiesling finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and Carson Dodge went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs. Hayden Berg stepped to the mound and earned the save to extend O's win streak.

Orioles 15, Angels 14 - The Orioles showed some heart and determination June 26 as they stormed back from a big deficit to defeat the Angels. Ollie Clausen went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and continuing his torrid pace at the plate, Jamey Squier went 4-for-4 with two triples and three RBIs. Carson Dodge came up big with a 2-out, 2-RBI single late in the game. Dodge added a defensive highlight, gunning down an Angels runner attempting to steal second. Taylor Williams showed some pop at the plate with a double to lead off the decisive 5-run sixth inning.

Orioles 16, Angels 14 - The Angels had another hard-fought battle June 26. Spencer Whitlock brought the fans to their feet in the bottom of the first inning, hitting his first grand slam home run of the season. Other Angels contributing RBIs included Ben Didier, Jason Flynn, Abe Murphy and David Kopriva. Whitlock followed with a double in his next at bat. Reed Thompson and Abe Murphy displayed strong defense, behind the plate.

Rays 4, Angels 3 - On June 27 at Helfaer Field it took until the bottom of the sixth inning for the Rays to break a 3-3 tie to beat the Angels. Jason Flynn, Frank Fee and David Kopriva all smashed solid doubles helping the Angels make their mark early. Reed Thompson, Ben Didier, Max Finco, Flynn and Kopriva all contributed singles. On defense, catcher Abe Murphy grabbed two pop-ups and third baseman Carter Crouch caught another pop-up at third.

Angels 8, Royals 8 - On July 2, Jason Flynn socked a home run and two RBIs for the Angels, and Will BAran and Reed Thompson also brought in an RBI each. Ben Didier added a double. Abe Murphy, David Kopriva, Vincent Teofilo, Frank Fee and Tyler Kaiser all had singles.

World division

On July 2, the Bullfrogs took a 11-4 win over the Crawdads. Michael Rentmeester hit for a single, double and triple. Aidan Matthai had three singles, two being RBIs. James Allbright added an RBI double Owen Newman had a single. And Luke Cralle had a great catch at home plate.

In a 9-6 loss to the Ironbirds, Owen Newman had an RBI, and Will Mullooly and Luke Ladd had two hits apiece. On July 13 in a 10-5 win over the Much Dogs, Michael Breiiner had two hits and a run scored, and Will Novotny added an RBI. Grant Matthai doubled and drove in a run, while Will Mullooly and Lamar Smith added two hits apiece.

On July 11, the Ironbirds defeated the Bullfrogs, 9-6. Jake Long and Xander Biggam had two hits each and two RBIs. Finn Somers had three hits and one RBI. Michael Zdanic also had three hits, while Brady Wawrzyniakowski, Elliot Oquist and Trey Cotey each had two hits and an RBI. Jonathan Copenhaver added a triple.

The Stingers fell to the T-Bones, 9-7. Wesley Miller had two RBIs, and Will Haeflinger had a hit, scored a run and made his debut at pitcher for the Stingers.
