Wauwatosa West coach Chad Mateske has a chance to have a brotherly battery when he fills out the lineup this year. JJ Belknapp, the Trojans shortstop, is also a pitcher. Willie Belknapp is a catcher, and he has been behind the plate at times when his brother has been on the mound.

Wauwatosa West juniors JJ Belknapp, Austin Jones and Tyler Gross share this week's honor. Jones tossed a two-hitter and fanned 10 in a 10-0 win over New Berlin Eisenhower on June 12. Gross, who lost a 2-0, five-hitter at Ike on June 11, beat Pewaukee, 4-3, on June 14 and threw a complete game Monday in a 6-5 win at South Milwaukee. Belknapp tossed a three-hitter in a 17-1 win over Waukesha North on Saturday and earned a save in the Pewaukee win.
