A TIP OF THE HAT

Wauwatosa East junior Natalie Schudrowitz ran the fastest time ever (15 minutes, 5.60 seconds) for a Red Raiders girls runner over the 4,000-meter distance at the state meet, said coach Glen Gardiner. Schudrowitz, who switched from soccer to track and field last spring and qualified for state, is running cross country for the first time.

2 Wins for Wauwatosa East sensational freshman Celia Ripple at the Greater Metro Conference Championship swim meet on Saturday at West Allis Central. She took first place in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 16.17 seconds and in the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.80 and earned first-team all-conference honors in the process.
