Trojan Basketball Club seeks coaches

The Trojan Basketball Club (TBC) is looking for volunteer coaches for the upcoming fall/winter leagues.

Coaches are needed for a few of the fifth- through eighth-grade girls basketball teams. A coach is also needed for the fourth-grade boys basketball team.

If you are interested in helping coach the next wave of Wauwatosa West basketball players, call Ken Rudzinski at (414) 731-9411.

TBC emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship and the importance of academics first. The club is a youth feeder program for student athletes who will be attending Wauwatosa West High School with aspirations to play at the varsity level. A high percentage of TBC athletes have gone on to play varsity basketball at West.

Trojan Basketball Club sets boys, girls tryout times

The Trojan Basketball Club (TBC) has set tryout schedules for the upcoming fall/winter leagues.

The first day of tryouts are Sept. 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Elementary for the fourth-grade boys. The fifth- and sixth-grade boys are set for 6-7:30 p.m. and the seventh- and eighth-graders from 7:30- 9 p.m. at Whitman Middle School.

The fourth-grade boys will also tryout Sept. 18 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Whitman, while the fifth- and sixth-grade boys will tryout on Sept. 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Whitman.

Finally the seventh- and eighth-grade boys will tryout on Sept. 21 from 7:30-9 p.m. at Whitman.

The girls tryouts are set for tryouts on Sept. 19-20 at Whitman. The fifth- and sixth-graders will go from 6-7:30 p.m. and the seventh- and eighth-graders from 7:30-9 p.m.

Jr. Raiders set basketball tryouts for grades 4-6

The Wauwatosa East Jr. Raiders basketball program has set the following dates for tryouts at the fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade levels.

Sept. 17 will be a mandatory player/parents meeting in the Longfellow Middle School cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. From 7-8:45 p.m. tryouts begin in the gym.

The second day of tryouts will be on Sept. 24 from 7-8:45 p.m. in the Longfellow gym. If needed, a third date will take place on Oct. 2 from 7-8:45 at Longfellow.

To be eligible for Jr. Raider Basketball, players must attend school in the Wauwatosa East High school attendance area and will be attending Wauwatosa East High School.
