UW-Waukesha Announces Children’s Play The Tortoise and the Hare Race Again!

WAUKESHA– Producer Jeff Smerz, West Allis, is leading a UW-Waukesha Winterim class production of The Tortoise and the Hare Race Again, a play for all ages, on Friday, January 21 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The 45-minute show is being presented by a UW-Waukesha Winterim class in conjunction with the Waukesha and Pewaukee Parks and Recreation Department. Students play a crucial role in every aspect of production from choosing the story to building sets, creating costumes and, of course, directing and performing in the final show. It is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc.

Written by Dan Neidermyer, The Tortoise and the Hare Race Again recreates the classic fable with a contemporary twist. "If only..." has been the story of the Rabbit's life ever since he lost that race to the Tortoise. He's sure he could win if they raced again with the help of his forest friends!
