Rob & Gayle Ritter – November 3

NEWS AND NOTES

Meeting notes: We had one guest this week, John Schwab, who is also a prospective member. One of John's interests is promoting the Ronald McDonald House, and he promised to give us a presentation for one of our programs. John is also the father of Ben Schwab, whom the Club has sent to Camp Wawbeek.

Eli Potkonjak started happy dollars, or maybe mixed emotion dollars, for having seen a childhood friend at the funeral of the friend's mother. Bob Gross paid three bucks for time to announce (a) the Scouts' wreath sale (see Bob), (b) the Lions Club shrimp boil this Friday, and (c) his father had a stroke and is still at Froedtert, which Bob was heading. John Foley paid a borrowed dollar to say how happy he was to have visited his brother in Rice Lake. Gary Knisbeck paid to give us a thumbs-up review of the movie Argo.

Beer & Wine Tasting: Friday, November 2. Sell tickets and collect good auction items. Be ready to sign the manpower list next week

Programs: Dave Eppelsheimer distributed the year's list of program assignments. Please tell Dave and your newsletter editor about your program as far in advance as possible.

Members: Gary Krueger was sprung from The Lutheran Home and is back home, Hickory Hill Assisted Living, 3933 S. Prairie Hill Lane, #309, Greenfield WI 53228. 414-975-8761 . Dick Bachman was back at the meeting this week, slowly becoming accustomed to his bionic status.
