NEWS AND NOTES

Meeting notes: Lt. Gov. Jerry McCormick was our guest, who gave us an outline of District organization changes coming up in October. We can expect to see the elimination of District trustees, reduction in the number of lieutenant governors, am combination of Divisions 6 and 8 into a new Division 2 with 11 or 12 clubs.

John Foley started out happy dollars, but they weren't so happy. John's college roommate and a church friend died the same week. Tom Schmidt paid a dollar just to say that he was happy to have known Peter Brusky. Bob Reinhardt paid a dollar for minute to tell a story or two about Peter, who invited Bob to join the Club. Dave Eppelsheimer paid a buck to remember Stan Musial, his idol. Don Nordholm made a commercial announcement, offering his spaghetti dinner tickets for this coming Sunday (call Don if you're interested). Bob Gross reminded us that the Lions' Night at the Races is this coming Saturday night, offering dinner and games for $14.

Our speaker was Jeff Percival, telling us about how the right attitude makes a difference in sales or in life outside of business. Jeff talked about motorcycles and sex, and everybody paid attention.

Pancakes: Coming up soon. The flyer is attached.

Program assignments: January 29, Paul Drellos. February 12, Rich Woods. February 19, Bob Reinhardt. February 26, Ken Snyder (pancake breakfast preparation).
