11th Annual ‘Feast for the Senses’ Set for May 2 at Whitnall Park

Vision Forward Association Event to Benefit Blind and Visually Impaired

Kick up your heels and enjoy a Western-style feast with everything from Southwestern chicken to Dirty Cowboy cupcakes! Vision Forward Association is proud to present the 11th Anniversary edition of “Feast for the Senses” on Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 5 – 9 pm at Boerner Botanical Gardens, Whitnall Park at 9400 Boerner Drive, Hales Corners.

All money raised from this event will be used to support the mission of empowering, educating and enhancing the lives of individuals impacted by vision loss.

This year’s fundraising event will feature a Western themed party, cocktails and pre-dinner fun followed by a five-course dinner prepared by caterers from the Bartolotta Group. The evening will also include a silent auction, live auction, raffle and entertainment with WISN '12 News Anchor/Reporter Toya Washington serving as the evening’s emcee.

“In addition to all of the great food, fun and entertainment, this is a wonderful way for people in the community to reach out and support our youngest treasures, the visually impaired children who receive services through Vision Forward,” said Patrick Brown, Executive Director, Vision Forward Association. “It’s another way to make sure that these services will always be there for the families that rely on them.”

“Our son, Cameron, started receiving services through Vision Forward as a 7-month-old boy with vision and mobility challenges,” said Kathy Bostrack. “Since then the amazing staff at Vision Forward has provided vision, physical, occupational and speech therapy to Cameron weekly. To see the tears of joy in his parent’s eyes as our (now almost 4-year-old) boy rides his tricycle around the patio is perhaps the greatest testament to the progress he has made through the efforts, dedication and love he has received at Vision Forward.”

“Vision Forward has truly been a blessing to our family,” added Kathy’s husband, Brett. “The entire staff has given us their support, encouragement and guidance. We cannot imagine being where we are today with Cameron if we hadn’t been in the hands of Vision Forward.”

The Feast for the Senses event has become a vital means of raising the funds so critical to carrying out the mission of Vision Forward, creating a wide array of opportunities for people with vision loss.
