Grounds Maintenance Services Expands Aug. 16 Benefit Golf Outing with New Partner, Charity

July 16, 2013

Brookfield, Wis. – An annual benefit golf outing led by Grounds Maintenance Services will tee off Aug. 16 with a new name, second lead partner and additional charity recipient.

GMS is teaming with ActionCOACH of Elm Grove for the GMAC Benefit Golf Outing at Ironwood Golf Course, W270-N6166 Moraine Drive, Sussex. Shotgun start is at 10 a.m.

The GMAC outing will once again benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The highly-successful golf event, now in its eighth year, drew more than 150 participants in 2012. The Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin has been added as an additional beneficiary for 2013. All three of Ironwood’s nine-hole courses will be used to accommodate even more golfers.

“We are tremendously excited to partner with ActionCOACH of Elm Grove to expand the size and scope of our annual golf outing,” said Todd Ruedt, owner of Grounds Maintenance Services. “This partnership will not only help grow participation in the event, but more importantly raise additional money and support a second very worthwhile organization, the Autism Society.”

The cost per golfer is $125. The fee includes 18 holes, range access (starting at 8 a.m.), drink tickets, eligibility for hole prizes and door prizes, lunch, buffet dinner, and silent and live auctions. A dinner-and-auctions package is available for $50.

Numerous event sponsorships are available, starting at $250, for businesses and organizations to participate and support its two charity recipients. Silent auction items will also be accepted.

Event registration and more details are available by visiting www.groundsmaintenancewi.com and clicking the “GMAC Annual Benefit Golf Outing” box in the upper right corner.

Grounds Maintenance Services was a top-five finalist in 2012 in ActionCOACH’s annual “Business Excellence Awards” competition, from a cast of nominations submitted from around the world. Ruedt, a Brookfield native, has more than 25 years experience in landscaping and lawn maintenance. His company has a long record of supporting organizations dedicated to improving the Brookfield community.

Founded in 1999, Grounds Maintenance Services offers a full range of landscaping and yard maintenance services, plus in-home Christmas tree delivery, holiday lighting setup and snow plowing. Its professional staff prides itself on helping homeowners grow their dreams, one yard at a time.
