Award-winning Chiropractic Company – Brookfield adds staff

Sept. 3, 2013

Massage therapy and acupuncture are new services

Brookfield, Wisconsin’s award-winning Chiropractic Company has added staff due to strong growth. Jamie Carlson, LMT and Nicholas Cera, MSOM, L.Ac. have joined the practice.

Dr. Taylor Poehls, clinic director, says, “Integrity. Integration. Wellness. These are the three words Chiropractic Company uses to identify itself. Integrating acupuncture, massage therapy and nutritional counseling into our Wellness Center is important for two reasons.

“The first reason is as people are becoming more financially responsible for their health care needs through higher out-of-pocket expenses, they are using more natural and holistic healthcare options, such as chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutritional counseling. It is important to me that my practice has top notch practitioners for these options. Jamie Carlson, LMT and Nicholas Cera, MSOM, L.Ac. are just that – top notch practitioners.

“The second reason is that chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutritional counseling compliment each other. All four deal with releasing stress (physical, chemical, psychological) from the body so that it can heal and function at a higher level - chiropractic through the spine and nervous system, massage therapy through the musculoskeletal system, and acupuncture through the Chi/Energy, and nutrition through balancing the digestive system,” said Dr. Poehls.

Dr. Poehls was awarded the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association’s Nels Bakke Award in 2012. The award, voted on by the WCA Board, honors chiropractors who have been in practice less than five years and recognizes the contribution of practitioners who have dedicated themselves to serving the profession and their community. Poehls was also voted Top Chiropractor in the Shepherd Express Best of Milwaukee Readers’ Choice Awards 2012 by the readers of Shepherd Express.

As a member of the Foundation for Wellness Professionals, Poehls delivers no-charge workshops for businesses on ergonomics, stress management, the power of nutrition, weight loss, and raising healthy and happy kids among others.

To obtain more information and to schedule a workshop for their company, company representatives can contact Dr. Poehls at the Chiropractic Company-Brookfield office at 17550 W Bluemound Road, Brookfield, Wis.; by phone at 262-782-2273 or DrPoehls@ChiropracticCompany.com.
