New Brown Deer Business Offers Unique, Customized Remembrances of Loved Ones

Oct. 2, 2013

Brown Deer, Wis. – A new business on Brown Deer’s east side offers consumers the opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of passed loved ones with unique, one-of-a-kind burial and cremation products.

Unique Memorials specializes in personalized caskets and urns, emblazoned with photos, emblems and professional artwork. The customized products reflect images of good times spent, hobbies once enjoyed or scriptures devoutly followed. Unique Memorials is at 3900 W. Brown Deer Road, Suite 120, next to Habanero’s and The UPS Store.

“Our goal is to comfort families by helping them remember what made their loved ones special,” said Tracy Amweg, co-owner of Unique Memorials. “Everyone has their own passions and interests. We honor this individuality by customizing the appearance of their final resting places to reflect what they most loved in life.”

Unique Memorials offers a wide variety of caskets and urns, and graphic design service to turn them into beautiful, artistic testimonials to lives well-lived. Family photos are popular adornments, and images depicting religious faith, military service, hobbies and even sports teams.

Fast turnaround is a hallmark of Unique Memorials’ service. The service includes transportation of caskets and urns to funeral homes, making one less concern for families already dealing with grief.

Unique Memorials is the first retailer in the nation to offer a personalized cremation casket, an affordable alternative to renting a casket for a funeral. A matching urn is included. Unique Memorials also provides custom motorcycle tank urns for motorcycle enthusiasts. The urn can be professionally airbrushed to match a bike’s paint job, and adorned with emblems or mounted on wood.

“No two families are the same, and we’re sensitive to people in their time of grieving,” Amweg said. “We strive to provide products that meet their needs in a caring, supremely individualized fashion.”

Engravable cremation jewelry is available at Unique Memorials in many shapes and styles. Furry, four-footed family members are not forgotten, either. Unique Memorials offers product customization services for owners to remember beloved pets.

Unique Memorials is open Mondays from noon to 7 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. More details are available at www.uniquememorials.com.
