Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council Adds New Membership Salesperson and Education & Creative Coordinator
The Milwaukee Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), the area’s leading home improvement and remodeling industry resource for more than 52 years, named John Mumper as its Membership Salesperson and Michelle Brown as its Education & Creative Coordinator.
Mumper is responsible for expanding and retaining the Milwaukee chapter’s membership base through recruitment drives, referral campaigns, and the development and promotion of chapter services to support member goals.
Prior to joining Milwaukee/NARI, worked nearly five years with Packaging Incorporated as an outside sales representative for four states in the Midwest. He has an additional 10 years of sales experience with three other companies.
Mumper earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 1998. He and his wife Lisa live in Greenfield with their daughters Vanessa and Natalie.
Brown is responsible for coordinating the association’s educational programs for Milwaukee/NARI members, including the annual Remodelers and Suppliers Expo and working with NARI National on assisting local members on achieving Certified Professional status through in-person and online training programs. In addition, Brown will develop marketing materials for the association, including the monthly member newsletter and the quarterly consumer newsletter.
Brown joins Milwaukee/NARI after working three years for Robert W. Baird as an Administrative Assistant for Corporate Events. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design in 2006 from the Harrington College of Design and earned an Associate’s Degree in Real Estate from Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Brown and her husband Jeremy live in Cudahy with their son Devin. Away from the office, she enjoys photography, visiting flea markets, baking, and spending time outdoors. She also participates in several volunteer endeavors, including work with the United Performing Arts Fund, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council was chartered in July 1961, as a Chapter of the National Home Improvement Council. In May of 1982, the National Home Improvement Council merged with the National Remodelers Association to form NARI ⎯ the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. With over 740 members, the Milwaukee Chapter is the largest in the nation.
The Council’s goals of encouraging ethical conduct, sound business practices, and professionalism in the remodeling industry have led to the growth of the remodeling industry nationwide and made NARI a recognized authority in that industry.
