Chicago's Ruth Page School of Dance Announces Milwaukee Audition Date - January 11- For Its 2014 Summer Intensive Program

Auditions for the Four Week Professional Dance Program Take Place at The Milwaukee Ballet on Jan, 11 from 2:30 – 4 p.m.

MILWAUKEE – The Ruth Page School of Dance, located at 1016 N. Dearborn St., Chicago, announces the Milwaukee audition date for its four week 2014 Summer Intensive Program. The auditions will take place Saturday, Jan. 11 at The Milwaukee Ballet, 504 W. National Ave. Registration begins at 2 p.m. and auditions will be held from 2:30 – 4 p.m. The intensive offers programs for the young dancers from the pre-professional to professional level, aged 10 and older, which will introduce the dancer to the demands of a professional career. The 2014 Summer Intensive Schedule is as follows: June 23 – 28 (Week One), June 30 – July 5 (Week 2), July 7 -12 (Week 3) and July 14 – 18 (Week 4). There will be no class on July 4 and the summer performance will take place on July 18. With internationally renowned master teachers and Ruth Page’s highly regarded School faculty, the program provides appropriate dance technique classes designed to provide far-reaching improvement for each student. Focus is placed on developing the whole dancer by offering classes according to level in Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe, Pointe, Variations, Pas De Deux, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Character, Pilates, Afro-Cuban, Muscle Awareness, among others. Summer Intensive students can choose to participate in a full-day or half-day program with the option of attending any or all of the four weeks. A Saturday Master Class is available on its own, or as part of the full-day program. Students wishing to perform in the Summer Program Performance at the conclusion of the Summer Intensive must attend all four weeks, full-day. Work study and need-based scholarships are available on a limited basis.

Featured guest instructors are Endalyn Taylor (NYC, Dance Theatre of Harlem School), Armando Martén (Spain, Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de A Coruña), Dean Badolato (NYC, Former Broadway Actor/Dancer) and Sara Bibik (Chicago, River North Dance Chicago).
