East

The environmental club volunteered at Lakeshore State Park on Saturday, March 14.

Senior Ball tickets went on sale Monday, March 16, and continue Friday, March 20, during lunch. Tickets are $65 per person, which includes dinner, dancing and a T-shirt. The senior ball is held in the Rumble Room at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

Eisenhower

Milwaukee-based dance studio Danceworks visited Eisenhower for a series of classes in February to work on creative movement to music. The residency brought two teaching artists. To see photos, visit http://goo.gl/oeTJVX.

The art room is collecting recyclable materials for art projects, such as the following: Rubbermaid bins, plastic bottle caps, Tinker-Toys, nylons, small cardboard jewelry boxes, cardboard tubes from paper towel rolls and scrapbook paper.

Jefferson

Jefferson celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week with treats, raffle prizes and a Hawaiian theme, based on the coordinating efforts of Leigh Anne Fraley and Elizabeth Nuccio.

Lincoln

Third-grader Dory Fulcher, in Mrs. Hamilton's class, penned a winning entry in the Tosa All-City Read contest on the subject of portaging. The winning entry is available at tosallcityread.com. Essays were based on the book "Orphan Train" by Christina Baker Kline.

Longfellow

Longfellow Middle School is hosting its multicultural fair to celebrate "many traditions, one community" from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19.

The event includes live African drumming, hula dancing, Slovac dance and hip-hop. Make-and-take crafts will be available, such as making a dream catcher or ojo de dios. There will also be ethnic food small plate samples.

Madison

Fifth-grade band students participated in the Elementary School Band Festival on Tuesday, March 17. All songs were inspired by St. Patrick's Day.

Montessori

Students played "elephant soccer" to kick off their week of Nature's Classroom Institute of Wisconsin followed by a two-hour hike around the property in student field groups.

McKinley

Parents attended a Mechanics of McKinley meeting on Monday, March 12, to learn more about the workings of the school.

Our Redeemer Lutheran

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) Headquarters has announced three seventh-graders at Our Redeemer Lutheran School have been awarded the prestigious Lutheran God and Family Boy Scout Award. These students are Robert Julga, Nathan Wessel and Matthew Willer.

Roosevelt

The senior kindergarten class performed "Bug in the Rug" on March 11. Second-graders took a field trip to the Mitchell Park Domes on Thursday, March 19.

St. Joseph Catholic

Washington

Teams from multiple Wauwatosa schools including Washington will participate in the Destination Imagination Regional Tournament from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Lake Geneva High School.

Second-graders saw "Big Nate" on Wednesday, March 18, at First Stage, Wisconsin's largest children's theater.

Wauwatosa Catholic

On Tuesday, March 17, students at Wauwatosa Catholic celebrated St. Patrick's Day. All students were invited to wear their Shamrockin' Eve shirt and jeans. Students could also wear anything green, for a donation to the food pantry. Students were treated to a program by the Trinity Dancers, which included many girls from WCS.

West

The track team hosted a breakfast fundraiser at Applebee's on Saturday, March 14.

An informational session was hosted Monday, March 16, for those interested in Outdoor Adventure Club, a group of students that enjoys camping, kayaking, rock climbing and more.

Whitman

Students learned a tryout routine for dance team for the 2015-16 school year on Wednesday, March 17, in the front lobby. Tryouts will take place Friday, March 20.

Wilson/STEM

Students will show off science fair projects 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24.
