New enterprises top Wauwatosa's business stories in 2015

New businesses big and small continued to flood into Wauwatosa in 2015. They are:

· Thai-Namite, an Asian fusion restaurant Thai-Namite will be located at 8725 W. North Ave., in the building that previously housed City Market, next to Westwood Dry Cleaners.

·Fish Cheeks, a restaurant that would serve sushi and Pacific seafood entrées, will be located at 6818 W. North Ave. in East Tosa.

·360 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu LLC, a traditional martial arts training business, will move into 12040 W. Feerick St., neighboring Wal-Mart.

·Irie Zulu, a restaurant and specialty store that sells food products and serves African and Jamaican dishes, moved into 7237 W. North Ave.

·Benji's Deli planned to move next to Camp Bar in Wauwatosa by the end of the year. Outside of its regular hours, Benji's planned to deliver bar food to Camp Bar.

·Indulgence Chocolatiers, serving handcrafted chocolates and Purple Door Ice Cream at 6538 W. North Ave., opened in June.

·Meijer opened in Wauwatosa Aug. 4. The 24-hour supercenter store at 11111 W. Burleigh St. drew overnight campers in anticipation of its grand opening.

·Tosa Bowl and Bun, opened at 7212 W. North Ave. in June. The soup and sandwich shop features a bowling theme.

·Thirsty Duck bar and restaurant brought duckpin bowling to Wauwatosa with its June opening at 11230 W. Bluemound Road.

·Ruckus & Glee toy store opened June 16 at 8730 W. North Ave. the store offers modern and retro toys for all ages.

·Beauty Mark Boutique Salon planned to open June 9 at 6435 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa.

·North Star Music, 6831 W. North Ave., closed in May after three decades of serving customers in East Tosa.

· A number of new businesses opened at Mayfair mall in 2015. Among them were Nordstrom, VOM FASS, Evereve, Hanna Andersson, Garage, Vera Bradley, The Container Store and Tumi.

· The Mayfair Collection saw its fair share of openings this year, too. Osgood's, J. Crew Mercantile, HomeGoods, Carhartt were among those that opened.
