The city of Wauwatosa has launched a new way for residents to pay water utility bills online.
The city has partnered with Paymentus, an online billing and paying solution that brings lower processing fees and more payment options.
The online payment options carry a lower convenience fee; the cost to pay water bills online is now a flat fee of $2.95. In the past fees ranged from $4 to $8. Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards are accepted. Electronic check payments are still an option.
Credit card payments can be made by phone with Interactive Voice Response by calling 1-844-804-5569.
"The city of Wauwatosa is pleased to offer a more convenient, more affordable water bill payment options for its residents," said Assistant Finance Director Derik Summerfield in a statement. "This new partnership streamlines processing of the payments helping city staff work more efficiently and provide better customer service."
