Egg Day at the zoo: Lots of fun activities for kids will be held at the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, beginning at 9 a.m. and running throughout the day. Take part in a scavenger hunt, watch the "Bubble Wonders Show," and take part in an Easter parade. For a full schedule of activities, visit http://www.milwaukeezoo.org/events/eggday.php.

Rotary Club egg hunt: Kids 9 and younger can join the Wauwatosa Mayfair Rotary Club for an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m.at Wisconsin Avenue Park, 10300 W. Wisconsin Ave. All children can enjoy prizes and refreshments, as well as a visit from the Easter Bunny. Bring a basket or bag for your goodies, and a pair of boots if it is rainy.

Music and Images of the 1916 Easter Rising:The 1916 Easter Rising was an armed insurrection in Ireland during Easter Week, 1916. Learn more about this historic event from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Irish Fest Center, 1532 Wauwatosa Ave. Admission costs $5. Monday

Delve into Existentialism: During "Who Were The Existentialists? What Was It All About," participants will learn some of the main themes and writers associated with Existentialism and discover how these ideas remain relevant today. This program takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave.

Wednesday

Backgammon tourney: The Milwaukee Backgammon Club will host a tournament at 6:30 p.m. at Rounding Third Sports Bar & Grill, 6317 W. Bluemound Road. The tournament includes a main flight and a consolation flight — guaranteeing at least two 5-point matches for everyone who enters — plus an optional side pool. The entry fee is $6. Of that, $1 pays club expenses and the remainder goes toward prize money. For more information, go to mke.backgammon.org or email mkebackgammon@att.net.
