NEWS AND NOTES

Meeting notes: We had two guests, Alex DeBord and his mother. Alex is one of the recipients of a club scholarship, and he plans to use it to attend UWM and to study marketing. Happy dollars started with – who else – Dave Eppelsheimer, for the Brewers. Jason Gonwa paid a buck, happy to be back after missing meetings for several weeks, happy because his kids both scored above grade level on exams, and really happy that his wife recovered from a two week long migraine. John Foley paid a buck because he had a good visit to the State Bar convention, but he was sad about the death of a friend. Jesse Dorshak is really happy because his son returns from Iraq in five days. Taylor Poehls was happy because he and Lydia had a successful outing with the triplets to see his nephew his a home run. And Eli Potkonjak was happy for having survived graduation weekend.

Scholarships: Alex was the only scholarship recipient to make it to the lunch, but Paige Gardner, Tony Stolar, and Nathan Haas sent thank yous.

Golf outing: John Klose was speaker and program, presenting plans for the Golf Outing on June 22, which is next week, Wednesday, if you hadn't noticed. John needs two golfers to round out 20 foursomes. He has over 20 auction items, plans on a split-the-pot event, and bunches of door prizes. He needs help on the course to handle registration, staff the two event holes, and sell raffle tickets. If you still have door prizes and auction items call John right away.

Program assignments. June 21 – Jesse Dorshak. June 28 – Kevin Sjostrom. July 12 – Peter Brusky. July 19 – John Foley. July 26 – Jennifer Wakefield.
