Girl Scouts names Christy Miller of West Milwaukee senior director of development

Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast (GSWISE) announces that Christy Miller of West Milwaukee has been hired as senior director of development.

Miller most recently served as director of development at PEARLS for Teen Girls, Inc., where she designed and implemented the organization’s first-ever in-house fund development infrastructure.

Prior to her position at PEARLS for Teen Girls, she was employed at Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges, Inc. (WFIC – now Wisconsin Association for Independent Colleges and Universities, WAICU) where she served as program and marketing manager from 2000 to 2002, program and marketing director from 2002 to 2004, vice president of operations from 2004 to 2010, and vice president for corporate and foundation relations from 2010 to 2011.

Miller, who is a 1999 graduate of Carthage College, holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing.

A 2004 Future Milwaukee graduate, a 2009 graduate of the MOSAIC Milwaukee Partnerships Initiative and former Milwaukee Center for Independence Young Professionals Advisory Board member, she currently serves as a counselor to six grade girls for the GEMS Program (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) at Brookfield Christian Reformed Church. Miller is also a current member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Milwaukee Chapter.
