Studio Barcelona on Vliet Street in Washington Heights Opens to Offer Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Creative Workshops and Hand-painted Furniture

June 27, 2016

Studio Barcelona, a new local business at 5706 W. Vliet Street, is now open to the public. Studio Barcelona is an exclusive stockist of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, painted furniture and home décor, and offers a variety of creative workshops in an art studio environment. Studio Barcelona occupies the space that was formerly Art & Soul Gallery, and is the sister store to the already-established Barcelona Artful Living Gift Shop located only one block west at 5827 W. Vliet Street in Milwaukee.

“As a resident of the Washington Heights neighborhood, I’m excited to be able to expand my locally owned business here,” said Barcelona Owner Lynita Santora-Wolf. “While Barcelona Artful Living offers gifts, pottery, home décor, art and fashion accessories from a variety of local artisans and vendors, this new space allows us to expand by serving as home for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, an expanded creative space for workshops and a showroom for our handpainted furniture.”

Plans are for the expanded creative space at Studio Barcelona to offer regular creative workshops on chalk paint, various craft media, knitting and more. Upcoming summer workshops include: Chalk Paint 101, Intro to Alcohol Ink, Watercolor Waterlilies and Alcohol Inks on Metal. Creative workshops are open to the public and can be found online at studiobarcelonamke.com. Private parties can be booked at Studio Barcelona for birthdays, corporate team building, showers and more. Call (414) 242-8737 or Email info@barcelonatosa.com.
